10 Beach Vacation Must Haves from Amazon
I am counting down the days until I leave for Puerto Vallarta for our first beach vacation in a while! Our recent travel adventures have been just that— adventures. Back to back tours, excursions, and exploring… we’ve both been craving a do-nothing, drinks by the pool, wading in the sea vacation for a while now.
I’ve been browsing Amazon over the past few weeks, searching for new bathing suits (which I’ll be sharing once they arrive!). Of course, I’ve gotten distracted by also searching through other beach vacation must haves. I’ve bookmarked a ton of accessories and essentials that will help me stay comfortable while I’m relaxing in the sand and around the resort. These beach vacation must haves from Amazon are sitting in my cart— check them out below!

1. Waterproof Floating Smart Phone Case
If you’re relying on your phone to take your vacation pics, you’ll need to protect it from the sand and water. The Aquavault floating phone case is my go-to for water activities where I’ll want to have my phone on hand. I’ve used it to take photos at the dead sea in Israel, and have even taken some underwater videos with my phone inside. Best part is: if you drop your phone in a pool or at the beach, the case floats!
2. FlexSafe Beach Safe
I’m a water girl, and I’d rather spend more time in the water than on the sand when I’m at the beach. But, I’m also very paranoid and hate leaving all my belongings, cash and other valuables back at my chair. The FlexSafe Beach Safe is portable, RFID blocking, and cut-resistant. You can set your own code to lock it, and secure it over the back of a chair to hide away anything you don’t want getting snatched.
3. Embroidered Sun Hat
These are all the rage on Instagram now, but actually should be worn to help protect your face from the sun. The cheeky embroidery just makes it more fun. Choose from several different phrases like “Life’s a Beach,” “Rose All Day” and “Resting Beach Face.”
4. Beach Socks
Traditional water shoes can be clunky, but sometimes they’re a must if the beach you’re visiting is rocky, or you’re sensitive to the sand’s heat. That’s wear these beach socks come in. They’re slip-ons that are lightweight, but with a thick enough sole to protect your feet from rough or hot surfaces. They can be worn in and out of the water and are non-slip.
5. Beach Towel Clips
So, I can’t sit on pool chairs without laying my towel out because… how many other sweaty strangers have sat on this?? But then we get the issue of slipping towels that move around under you and get all tangled up. These affordable and bright beach towel clips help clamp the towel in place to the chair so it doesn’t slip around.
6. Cat Eye Mirrored Flat Lens Glasses
Don’t forget eye protection! After experiencing some sun damage on my eye (yes, you read that right and yes it sucks), I’m never out without sunglasses. These trendy mirrored glasses can block 100% UVA and UVB rays in style.
7. Simple Modern Insulated Water Bottle
When you’re hanging in the heat, it’s important to stay hydrated. I’m packing my Simple Modern water bottle with me because it keeps cold water cold for up to 24 hours, even in hot conditions! That means I won’t be trying to refresh myself with warm water— yuck! I’ll always have an icy cool sip ready.
8. Mesh Beach Bag
This mesh bag will help you carry all your must haves from your hotel room to your spot on the beach or at the pool, and you don’t have to worry about it getting wet or sandy. The mesh is waterproof and sand falls through it instead of getting trapped. Plus, it can be easily rolled or folded up so it won’t take up a lot of room in your luggage when you’re not using it.
9. USB Mini Misting Fan
If you run hot, a beach vacation can quickly turn uncomfortable when the sun’s strong. This mini misting fan will help cool you off so you can still enjoy the outdoors. It charges via USB and has a powerful breeze, according to reviews.
10. Crochet Lace Beach Cover Up
For when you’re walking around the resort in your bathing suit, a cover up can help you feel more comfortable if you don’t just want to hang out in a bikini.
Beach Towel Clips are great, but there’s a product called the Towel BandIt which is a silicone band that stretches around your sun lounger to keep your towel in place. More versatile, less bulky, and definitely more compact to carry in luggage and beach bags. Found on Amazon.
Awesome recommendation, Susan! I think I found it here! (affiliate link)
