The brand released two holiday sets last month, and they’re full of personal favorites that you’ve probably seen me talk about here on the blog before. The fun part is, both of these sets contain mini versions of the popular products, so they’re great for holiday travel or throwing in your party clutch. Keep reading for a closer look into the Physicians Formula holiday gift sets and let me know which one you’ll be picking up!
First we have The Essential Minis Kit ($14.95). This kit contains five best-selling faves plus a silver makeup bag to pack them up for on-the-go. You get a little something for each part of your routine: a mini Powder Palette Glow Pearls to highlight, a mini Spotlight Illuminating Primer to create a glow, a mini Healthy Lip Lipstick in Fight Free Red-icals, a mini Killer Curves Mascara, and a mini Rose All Day Oil-Free Serum to brighten your complexion.
The Spotlight primer and Healthy Lip lipsticks have both been on regular rotation in my personal routine throughout this year, and the mini sizes are so dang cute! Honestly, I wish they sold the primer in this size for traveling because the full-size bottle is a little bulky. The lipstick’s shade is the perfect festive red for the season, and these are so convenient for packing! The Glow Pearls, which we saw recently included in the brand’s 80th Anniversary Collection, is actually still a pretty decent size compact and will serve up a dramatic sparkly effect. The serum and mascara are the perfect size for your carry-on bag for TSA.
The second set from Physicians Formula for the 2018 Holiday season is the Color Me Healthy Holiday Set ($14.95). This set contains mini versions of the entire Healthy Lip collection— all thirteen shades! You can see my original review and lip swatches of all the colors here. Included in this set is also a new limited edition full-size shade: The Healthy Lip Transformer in Opalescence. It’s a topper that can be worn alone or over any of The Healthy Lip shades for a reflective finish.
Here you can see swatches of all the shades, with the bottom half topped with Opalescence. It definitely adds a shifty shine, and the formula is enriched with vitamins A & E and organic mongogo oil for extra cushion and nourishment. I personally like using this either alone or just in the middle of my top and bottom lips to create a pouty appearance. Be sure to let your shade dry before applying the topper so that you don’t mix the colors! In the photo below, I’m wearing the shade Nut-ritious with Opalescence in the middle.
