NYX is one of those brands that consistently releases amazing quality, cruelty-free makeup at really reasonable prices. I integrate their products into almost every makeup look I create, as they’ve become go-to staples that I’m loyal to.
Out of everything I’ve tried from the brand, here’s what I’d consider to be the best of NYX Cosmetics makeup— the top five products you’ve got to try if you haven’t already.
NYX Matte Liquid Liner ($7.50)
If you see me wearing liquid liner, which is pretty much any time I’m wearing makeup, it’s a safe bet that this is what I used. I’ve used the Matte Liquid Liner almost exclusively now for several years and it’s never failed me. The formula glides on easily with the precise thin brush tip, perfect for winged liner details! It dries down to a rich black matte finish with no patchiness, and lasts all day with no smudges or flakes.
NYX On The Rise Volume Liftscara ($11)
I became obsessed with the One The Rise mascara just this year, because it gives me a dramatic boost with only a single coat. Check out a before/after photo here! Not only do you get volume and incredible length, but the mascara lives up to its name by keeping your lashes lifted and holding the curl all day. The only complaint I have with this mascara is that you may get a small amount of flaking throughout the day if you’ve layered it up several times. Other than that, it’s my absolute favorite drugstore mascara.
NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette in Warm Neutrals ($18)
In my experience, NYX eyeshadow can be hit or miss. However, this particular eyeshadow palette is actually the highest rated at the drugstore and is sure to be well-loved in any collection. You get 16 neutral shades that can deliver everyday, subtle looks or sultry and dramatic smokey vibes. The color scheme is warm so it makes for a great fall palette, though can easily be worn year round with the beautiful golds, champagnes and variety of browns.
NYX Lip Lingerie Push-Up Lipstick ($9)
NYX makes some amazing lip products, and I’ve tried nearly all of them. However, the Lip Lingerie Push-Up Lipstick has become my favorite formula hands down. It’s a creamy matte that’s incredibly pigmented and long lasting, and the twist-up crayon style makes it easy to line and fill in the lips. NYX MicroBrow Pencil ($6.99)
Finally, another very highly-rated product and for good reason: the MicroBrow Pencil. This is an ultra-fine eyebrow pencil that can create precise strokes to mimic natural brow hairs. This is my favorite type of product to use on my brows, as it easily shapes and fills sparse areas without looking overdone. It’s incredibly similar to my favorite high-end brow pencil from Benefit, but at a fraction of the cost.
