High End Heroes: Colleen Rothschild Discovery Collection

In my personal skin care routine, I’m used to product cocktailing: cherrypicking favorites from a slew of brands to find my own custom regimen. But, there’s something to be said when one brand— or better yet, collection— can address and transform your skin care concerns and make your face look fantastic.

I had never heard of Colleen Rothschild Beauty until a couple months ago, when I decided to try their Discovery Collection to explore the brand. The set comes with six deluxe travel sizes of some of the brand’s cult favorite products, plus a muslin cleansing cloth, all in a roomy cosmetic bag for travel. It’s a great way to try a bunch of the top-rated products from the brand while saving money.

The Colleen Rothschild Discovery Collection would also make a fantastic Mother’s Day present to give the gift of pampering and radiant skin. Keep reading for a coupon code, whether you’re purchasing it as a gift or treating yourself to something special!

One of the most generous samples in the collection is of the Radiant Cleansing Balm, which melts off makeup and clears pores. The balm dissolves into an oil that leaves your skin not only clean, but hydrated and soft. The muslin cloth helps wipe off makeup residue and dirt, and rinses clean easily without soap! It’s been one of the easiest, yet effective, ways I’ve been cleansing at night. You don’t need a lot of the balm to cleanse the whole face, so I can see even the travel size lasting a while.

The collection comes with three products for whatever level of moisture your skin needs.

Face Oil No 9 is a blend of nine different oils for an intense hydration for desperate skin. It helps improve the skin’s moisture barrier as it nourishes with the oils and vitamins. While effective, it’s still lightweight and sinks into the skin quickly for a luxurious, healthy feeling.

The Sheer Renewal Cream is fantastic for the morning. Oil-free and full of antioxidants, it’s not only hydrating but promotes new cell turnover for great tone and texture. It has a powder finish which lets me moisturize without feeling like I have too many layers on underneath my makeup.

The Extreme Recovery Cream has been my go-to at night, as it’s rich in texture and gives me continuous moisture throughout the night. It’s been super windy here in L.A. lately, so this renews my glow overnight, combatting the tight-skin feeling I’m used to waking up with. It has an anti-aging formula to minimize lines and wrinkles using active peptides and hyaluronic acid.

My favorite from the Discovery Collection has been the Clarifying Detox Mask. Since I struggle with acne, this has been a godsend. The charcoal and French Kaolin Clay detox pores while the Micronized Silver works as an antibacterial. I’ve used it weekly as a mask, but have actually preferred using it as a spot treatment! Because of my combo skin, I find this to be the most effective way to focus on my problem areas while also making the most out of the small pot. I’ve noticed the mask to shrink blemishes and soothe redness overnight.

Everyone needs a good exfoliating once in a while, and the Dual Enzyme Polish uses both a physical exfoliant as well as AHA and fruit enzymes to balance skin tone and get rid of dead skin cells. I apply it evenly to the face like a mask, letting the ingredients sink in for a few minutes. Then, I use wet hands to rub the microspheres in to polish the skin. Rinse, and you’ve got a crazy smooth feel.

So, I’ve been using this collection almost exclusively for over a month now, and just yesterday I was ogling my skin in the mirror to admire how even it looked. My problem areas have been diminished to only a couple blemishes here and there, and funny enough, I can tell that I have less lines and patchiness around my forehead. I didn’t even know rough my skin was looking until I saw how amazing it could look with this routine.

Okay, so even though the Colleen Rothschild Discovery Collection is already a really great deal (a $150 value for $95), I’m giving you a chance to slash the price even more with a 20% off coupon!

Use the code SLASHED20 on Colleen Rothschild’s website for 20% off all regularly priced items.

The discount expires May 13th, 2016 at 11:59 PM CST. Like I said, this would be a luxurious gift for mom this Mother’s Day, or for yourself if you’ve ever been interested in trying high end skin care.

Is there a brand that you trust with your entire skin care routine?
