Current Foundation Routine: 3 Steps to a Flawless Face

This post is sponsored by P&G but all opinions are my own!

The fresh faced look never goes out of style, and a flawless foundation routine makes for the best base for any makeup look. I constantly hear from readers how face makeup is the hardest to find affordably, especially when it comes to products that work perfectly together, and of course the challenge of shade matching.

There’s a reason Covergirl is up there as one of my favorite drugstore brands, and they know what’s up. With their truBlend products, you can get a flawless face in just three steps.

Covergirl’s truBlend line stands out because it’s one of the more diverse collections you can find on a budget, with products that work for a range of skin types and tones. The truBlend Face Primer ($8.49) comes in three different versions: Oily Skin, Dry Skin, and Combo Skin. This is something I truly appreciate, being a combo girl myself, because we need a little extra care since we have dry and oily spots to consider.

The Covergirl truBlend Liquid Makeup ($8.49) line is large, matching 99% of skin tones—something you don’t normally find with drugstore brands. It’s lightweight but has generous coverage, and gives you a natural skin finish with a subtle radiance.

It’s interesting—I usually set my makeup with translucent powder, but the Covergirl truBlend Pressed Powder ($8.49) kinda changed my foundation game. It adds a veil of sheer color that not only helps set and blend out your liquid makeup, but also gives you that extra coverage I often find myself needing. It gives a blurred “airbrushed” look to my makeup that complements every look.

No photoshop required… this routine is as easy as 1, tru, 3, and gives me skin I can’t stop staring at! I’ve been starting to do this very routine, plus brows and mascara, when I want to feel put together while keeping things natural. The best part is that it doesn’t look like I’ve got a lot of face makeup on, despite adding layers for extra coverage. It also takes about five minutes, which is always a plus in my busy schedule.

I just went and bought myself backups of these products at Target, because they’ve got an amazing Cartwheel app offer for 20% off all truBlend face products! You can clip the coupon digitally via the Cartwheel app, and it’s valid until 4/23. I suggest hurrying, because my Target was already swarming with Covergirl fans stocking up!

  5. I love CG products always have they are the one drug store line, that I always fall back on. That press powder looks amazing I may have to go pick it up, right now I’m using their professional loose powder. Still unsure about that foundation though, i think it’s because i’m more a BB cream kinda gal but maybe i’ll try it. It was a great post !!

  6. Your skin looks great. I’m always scared to try drugstore brands because of the matching issue but it can’t be to and if they match 99% of skin tones.

  7. This combo makes your skin look absolutely amazing! I also think it’s great that they have products that cater to every skin type.
