One of the most tedious parts of packing for travel has to be rounding up beauty must-haves. Especially for longer trips, your travel beauty routine can not only weigh you down but become expensive to curate! BH Cosmetics make some of my favorite affordable makeup brushes— and many of them come with their own carrying case for travel! It’s so important to pack your brushes separately from your makeup products to help protect the bristles. This brush set is perfect for both home and travel, as it has almost every brush you’d need for a full face of makeup.
2. Tweezerman Mini Slant Tweezers
I use these mini tweezers at home exclusively, because I feel like I have more control with them than those with longer handles. However, they’re also perfect for travel because of their size and included travel tube.
3. Japonesque Travel Manicure Kit
There is nothing more annoying than being away from home and breaking a nail. I’ve tried a ton of travel manicure kits, and this is the best one quality-wise. They don’t cut corners in giving you tools that will actually get the job done, not just tide you over until you can get to your “real tools.” I keep it in my purse and always travel with it.
4. FOREO Luna 2 Facial Cleansing Device
Definitely the splurge on this list, but it’s a must-have in my skin care routine both at home and on the go. The reason I think the Luna trumps any other facial cleansing brush is because it’s made with anti-microbial silicone, doesn’t need any replacement parts, and the charge can literally last you a year. That’s also why it’s great for traveling— you don’t need to worry about charging one more device… perfect for longer trips!
5. Makeup Brush Color Cleaner
I use these at home when I’m way too lazy to clean my brushes, but they’re most practical for travel. This Color Cleaner features a sponge-like material that will help grab shadow residue off brushes. This allows you to use the brush immediately with another shade without muddying up the color, and keeps your brushes from accumulating too much build-up over time. It doesn’t completely replace a deep clean, but will do the trick for a week away!
6. Magnifying Lighted Portable Mirror
Let’s be real: hotel mirrors and hotel lighting sucks for makeup application. If you’re going on a trip where you know you’re going to glam up, you need to BYOM— bring your own mirror. This small, battery-operated lighted mirror features a 10x magnification with beauty lighting, and you can either rest it on a counter or temporarily mount it to a mirror. The stand folds up to make it even more compact for easy transport.
7. Venus Snap Razor
I personally use the Snap razor at home pretty exclusively for shaving my body, because it’s small and easy to fit on our shallow tub ledges. Because of the size and included carrying case, it’s the best travel razor as well.
8. Finishing Touch Flawless
For shaving my facial hair, the Finishing Touch Flawless is my go-to. Because there are no exposed blades, this is carry-on friendly. I use it for my upper lip, chin, and cheeks.

Oh the plight of the weak hotel hair dryer… we all know how that goes.
