If there’s one type of beauty product I’m passionate about, it’s drugstore mascara. There are so many amazing drugstore mascara formulas available at affordable prices that there’s seriously no reason to splurge on high end. Plus, with mascara being one of the products you’re supposed to replace the most often for hygienic purposes, why not go cheap if you don’t have to sacrifice quality?

5 Best Drugstore Mascaras Under | No Smudging! | Slashed Beauty

Whether you have long, fine lashes or short straight ones, there’s a budget-friendly option for you! Keep reading to discover the five best drugstore mascaras under $11.

1. Covergirl Flourish by Lash Blast ($5.82 on Amazon)

This is my all-time favorite every day mascara. It adds length and volume while fanning out my lashes for a fluttery effect. I never get any flaking or smudging, and the thinner wand lets me get into the corners and right up to my lash line to coat every one evenly. The brush has a lot of comb bristles on it to separate the lashes, and I never get any clumps! This mascara would be great on any type of lash.

2. Believe Beauty High Drama Fiber Mascara ($4.50 at Dollar General)

If you have relatively long lashes and need volume and fullness, this budget buy won’t disappoint! What I love about this volumizing mascara is that your lashes stay looking and feeling flexible— no stiff or shiny finish here. This mascara features a soft fiber brush that is thin, straight and tapered to help separate each lash.

3. Maybelline Lash Sensational Washable Mascara ($7.99 at Target)

The “fox eye” beauty trend is picking up, which means accentuating the outer corners of the eyes for an upturned effect. This mascara is perfect to compliment the look. The Lash Sensational mascara flares out your lashes while adding considerable volume and length. It’s a pretty wet formula that you can build up, but dries down to a stiffer feel… but you won’t end up with smudges under your eyes! At the end of the day, this is an easy mascara to remove (as the name suggests) with micellar water or a makeup remover wipe.

4. L’Oreal Lash Paradise Mascara ($10.99 at Ulta Beauty)

If you’re wanting massive drama, there’s no better choice at the drugstore than Lash Paradise. This is the most intense mascara at this price point, offering major length and volume. With that said, this mascara can be a bit finicky and there is a learning curve to applying it. You must wipe off the brush throughly when you pull it out of the tube, and work in thin layers to build it up. Otherwise, it will gloop and clump. Also, I’ve started to purchase the waterproof version of this mascara as it holds my curl much better than the original. If you have fine lashes, this won’t be your favorite as it is heavy and thick.

5. NYX On The Rise Volume Liftscara ($11 at Ulta Beauty)

If you have fine lashes, or straight and stubby ones, this mascara will really wow you! Not only does this mascara add a ton of lightweight length, but it boosts your lift and curl and holds it there all day. Being a thin and dry formula, this won’t weigh down your lashes. However, your tube can dry out more quickly than other mascaras and may cause flaking if you layer it up too much.

Honorable Mention: Covergirl Lash Blast Amplify Primer ($7.99 at Target)

Whether you want to boost a mascara you already love, or want to salvage one that didn’t do enough for you, this mascara primer puts in work! I love using it as a base coat to my mascara when I want high impact lashes without putting on falsies. You can see it in action in my video here (around the 6:10 mark).
