I’ve slowed my roll talking about my shower routine products because it’s been so long since new favorites have come along. Plus, I’m sure you have your own go-tos that make you feel good while you go through the motions of showering. But alas, a new brand has caught my eye and I’m kind of obsessed!?!
Love Beauty and Planet: it’s a new bath and hair care brand that not only creates indulgent products that are budget-friendly, but also eco-friendly. With deliberate thought going into the ingredients, packaging and social partnerships, it’s a brand I have easily and quickly become loyal to.
All of Love Beauty and Planet products are packed in 100% recycled bottles, contain responsibly sourced natural ingredients and scents, and have conditioner formulas that are effective and rich but easy to rinse out in effort to conserve water. The brand is also partnering with nonprofit organization Ashoka which supports social entrepreneurship towards environmental efforts.
The three products I’ve added to my routine are the Argan Oil & Lavender Smooth and Serene Shampoo, the Argan Oil & Lavender Conditioner, as well as the Coconut & Ylang Ylang Tropical Hydration Body Wash. First of all, I’m such a sucker for pretty packaging and these have really pretty designs that brighten up the shower. They totally look like mid-high end products but cost $9 and under! Plus, the bottles are a good size. Sometimes when drugstore brands try to go “fancy,” the sizes become less thrilling. But these pack just as much (if not more) than my previous go-tos.
I’ve been sharing the Coconut & Ylang Ylang Body Wash with Adam over the past month… and I’m actually really surprised it has lasted this long. We usually go through body wash so quickly, but you really don’t need a lot to create a good spread and cover the entire body. It’s infused with coconut oil and ylang yang essential oil which is really helping our dry skin here in Vegas. I feel moisturized straight out of the shower, and the scent is really delicious. It reminds me of vacation and drinks with umbrellas in them.
The Argan Oil & Lavender Smooth and Serene Shampoo and Conditioner is perfect my frizzy hair when I want to get a smooth style. Again, I live in a very dry climate so I need moisture year-round like nobody’s business. However, I also have to be careful about my sensitive scalp. I’ve been using a special dermatitis and dandruff shampoo recently, but have been slowly waning off of it every other wash. This shampoo is perfect as it gives me moisture without weighing down my hair or gunking up my scalp. The smell is absolutely wonderful— the lavender seriously makes me feel like I’ve stepped into a spa or salon. The conditioner is also really nice because it’s rich enough for my thick frizzy hair without leaving residue behind with its easy-rinse formula. When I style my hair, it’s manageable and way easier to style.
These products are vegan and cruelty free, made without silicones or dyes and safe for colored hair… on top of the benefits for the environment I previously mentioned. It’s kinda a no-brainer that this brand is already making a name for itself. I just really love their mission and how the products don’t compromise on quality for the price. It’s now available at Ulta Beauty, Target, and mainstream drugstores!
