What Beauty Products Do You Keep In Your Purse?

It may seem surprising, but I actually don’t like carrying beauty products around with me. This is why I prefer long-wearing formulas that don’t need a lot of touching up throughout the day. I’m also paranoid about product spills, so there’s that too.

Question of the Week: What beauty products do you keep in your purse? I only carry six with me! Find out what they are. | Slashed Beauty

But, I do keep a very select few beauty products in my purse for both maintenance of whatever look I’m wearing, and also for comfort. Here’s what I currently have inside my handbag:

HAND LOTION: Hand lotion is a must-have for me at all times. My hands get so dry and I absolutely hate the feeling of rough skin. Lately, I’ve been carrying a travel sized Soap & Glory Hand Food with me. I love the smell, and it gives me instant hydration without leaving a greasy residue.

LIPSTICK OF THE DAY: Whatever lipstick I’m wearing, I’ll throw in my purse for touch-ups. Especially if I know I’ll be having a meal while I’m out, there are very few lip products that can survive a meal completely unscathed. Currently, I’ve been wearing the Pixi Beauty MatteLast Liquid Lips in Pastel Petal, so that’s been in my purse for the past week.

LIP BALM: Just like hand lotion, I need lip balm on me at all times. In my purse, I keep Blistex Medicated Lip Balm with SPF 15 for maximum moisture and protection

BLOTTING SHEETS: As a combo girl, I need a way to combat oil if it comes for my look. I just received the Beauty by Popsugar Be Matte Beauty Papers, so those have been what’s in my bag. At the price, I probably won’t be purchasing them when I run out, but they’ve been getting the job done!

POWDER COMPACT: For both a mirror and a way to mattify, I keep the COVERGIRL Clean Matte Powder on me. It’s a very fine pressed powder that not only sweeps away shine but helps prolong your makeup and smooth your skin. The compact is sleek with a snap closure, so I don’t feel nervous about it breaking in my bag.

FRAGRANCE: Finally, I always keep a fragrance rollerball in my purse. It’s perfect for when I forget to add a little perfume on my way out, or just to freshen up mid-day. The one I’ve had on hand for almost a year now is the Kate Spade New York Live Colorfully Rollerball. It’s a bright, happy scent with citrus and floral scents, rounded out with vanilla and musk. One of my favorites!
