A nice end to what seemed like a really quick month was receiving the September 2015 Boxycharm in the mail! This month’s theme was obviously Runway Ready to celebrate the commencement of fashion week season. It was filled with beauty goodies that can help you get model-esque skin, makeup, nails and hair looks straight from the runway.

Watch the video below for my unboxing and first impressions!

Product Breakdown:

1. Previse Skincare HydroMilk Hydrating Lotion (Retail $48)
This natural moisturizer has a very thin and lightweight, but leaves my skin feeling extremely silky immediately after it sinks in. I don’t know if it’s rich enough to be my go-to fall moisturizer just yet, but I’m still only just testing it out! I also very much appreciate that there is no fragrance, which is a good thing for sensitive skin.

2. Vasanti Professional Foundation Brush (Retail $32)
This is our second Vasanti brush to come in a Boxycharm. The first was a powder brush that I personally like using for blush, and now we have this basic flat foundation brush. The synthetic bristles are very soft and flexible, so even though I won’t use it for foundation, I’ll probably find good use for it with other cream or liquid products.

3. tarte smolderEYES Amazonian Clay Waterproof Liner (Retail $22)
My fave thing from the box was this eyeliner from tarte, though I will most likely use it as an all over lid color for fall. The shade I got is “Gold,” which is much more of a light, shimmery bronze. The pencil also has a smudging sponge on the opposite end to help you shape your liner against your lash line.

4. Chella Eyebrow Defining Gel (Retail $18)
I can never get enough brow products, so keep ‘em coming Boxycharm! This clear brow gel has a really convenient, smaller sized spoil to give you more control when brushing through your brows.

5. SCRATCH Nail Wraps (Retail $12)
We’ll see how well these work out, but I must say I don’t have that much hope based on my previous experience with nail wraps (link). They did come with a very on trend design of a half moon mani in nude shades.

BONUS ITEM: Kardashian Beauty Black Seed Dry Oil
Another thing I’ll never get tired of. My hair drinks up this oil and is left feeling soft and hydrated immediately. I was surprised that it worked so well, since I had heard mixed things about the Kardashian’s products. Well, point one for them in my book!

This month, we got well over what we paid for the box as per usual. Boxycharm is only $21/month and there hasn’t been one I’ve been disappointed with. Check them out on their website.

  1. I’ve been thinking about pulling the trigger on this sub box, but this month is not my fave. like you, I don’t use paddle foundation brushes (except for masks) and I rarely use nail wraps. I do like the Tarte liner, though! So gorgeous.

  2. I’m so glad I started Boxycharm. It’s been a great subscription. There’s always a new discovery that I’d never have tried on my own.

  3. Scratch has excellent wraps! They’re my fave brand for them! That particular set was one of my top picks even before it was in the Sept box!

  4. A good box this month, but not quite as great as some past ones. Nevertheless, I think Boxycharm is a the best (affordable) subbie box out there

    1. If the nail wraps or the brush would have been one more makeup product, I would have been over the moon!
