REVIEW & SWATCHES: BITE Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick Duos

Even though I rarely make a purchase, I lurk Sephora every single time I’m at the mall. One display I constantly find myself hovering around is that of BITE Beauty. I’ve been drooling over their lip products since last year, and have imagined beautiful looks I could incorporate them into… but could never find myself bold enough to splurge. Then, I saw these puppies at the impulse-buy display near the checkout.

REVIEW & SWATCHES: BITE Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick Duos

Say hello to the BITE Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick Duos. Available in two variations, Neutral and Vivid, these come with two permanent-collection shades each from the Luminous Creme Lipstick line in bite-sized packaging (PUNS!) for an easy $12 a pop; that’s half of what a full sized lipstick from the brand costs!

REVIEW & SWATCHES: BITE Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick Duos: Lychee and Musk

The Neutral duo includes shades Lychee and Musk. As you can see, the picture on the box makes the shades look a lot more pink than they actually are. Both shades are beige-y nudes, Lychee is a your-lips-but-better shade for me, and is a bit darker than Musk, which is a tad more pink.

Nude shades are bit hard for me to gauge wear time, but these lasted around four hours before fading. Although they are extremely creamy, I still recommend exfoliating prior to application, especially before Musk, for the most natural and nude effect.

REVIEW & SWATCHES: BITE Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick Duos: Violet and Palomino

The Vivid duo contains the shades Violet and Palomino. These are both bright pops of vibrant color that apply with full opacity. Violet is a purple with pink undertones, and Palomino is a hot hot pink.

These shades will last you a while. For starters, they stain the lips only shortly after applying. Again, this formula glides onto the lips with a super soft and creamy texture and extremely satisfying color payoff. My lips didn’t feel dry until the four hour mark, and the color only started to noticeably fade at six hours.

If you’ve been dying to try the lipsticks that have made a name for themselves in the beauty community, these are a great way to get a taste without splurging. This lipstick formula not only delivers smooth color, but also age-repair benefits to reduce fine lines around the lips over time. Even though you are getting less product (.05 oz of each shade), the dollar per ounce ratio is still cheaper than buying a full sized lipstick, plus you get to sample different shades! These are the only two duos available, but I really hope they pair together more of their popular shades!

The BITE Beauty Luminous Creme Lipstick Duos are available for $12 each at Sephora.

  1. I found the Vivid Duo had “accidentally” fell into my Sephora basket the last time I was there. Stupid shelving system, they need to make it harder for me to reach my hand in and buy all the things.

  2. I’m glad to know these exist! I just purchased my first Bite lipstick, which took a bite out of my makeup budget!

  3. BITE’s lip products are pretty drool-worthy, and this is such a great idea! It’s always helpful to sample before you splurge. I love the Vivid duo.

    1. Yes!! These make me want to splurge on their full sized products and other shades!

  4. I have also been wanting to test out BITE for a while now but the price keeps me away, this is a great way to experiment with them. I will keep an eye out for them next time I hit sephora

  5. I think this is such a great idea ! to have 2 colors in one stick. I love their lip mask it works so well and help, with my dry cracked lips

    1. I want to try it! I get really dry lips at night and always slather on some aquaphor, but I bet their mask would work wonders

      1. The mask dabbing my finger for a little bit a product, does the job well. You don’t need a whole lot at all it’s a pretty great product

  6. the lippies sound nice, but none of those colors would be good for me – I’ll havta check out others 🙂

  7. I was just eyeing these at Sephora yesterday but didn’t take the (tiny) plunge! The colors are gorgeous.

  8. I’ve thought about trying the Vivid duo, but a lot of the reviews on Sephora say the product is teeny-weeny-tiny! Did you find it worth the $12?

    1. It is teeny, about the circumference of my pinky finger. But you’re still getting a better value with less $/oz ratio. I definitely say it’s worth the $12 if you want to try out the brand and formula without plunging into a $24 lipstick. Plus, it’s not like I’m using them every single day so they will still last a while… come to think of it, I don’t think I’ve ever used a lipstick up in its entirety!

  9. Palomino looks beautiful on you! The other duo would probably make me look anemic, but it’s stunning on the right person.
