Anyone else just not all that excited about new matte liquid lipsticks this season? I’m on overload since they’ve been practically the only tip of lip product brands have been putting out for the past couple years! But alas, I have one more to share with you that I think you’ll really enjoy for fall if you haven’t tried the formula already. The L’Oreal Rouge Signature Liquid Lipsticks truly offer something unique, and amidst decluttering my collection, these are taking their place front and center in my daily wear drawer.
I don’t think there is another way to describe the L’Oreal Rouge Signature Liquid Lipsticks other than a fusion between lip stain and liquid lipstick. They have an incredibly light and thin consistency— almost a true liquid formula— while still delivering a ton of color payoff. As it dries down, you get a satin matte finish but a comfortable and flexible feel that will probably trick you into thinking you don’t have product on at all!
The applicator is tapered to a very precise point, which makes it easy to shape your lips and even overdraw them. I feel like it holds enough product to cover the entirety of your lips without needing to double dip, especially because a little goes a long way with the thin formula.
I have almost all of the shades to share with you— including some from the new Parisian Sunset collection as well. Take a look!

I absolutely love the empowering shade names of these lipsticks— I know that I certainly feel like I have my go-to power colors when I want to feel more confident (mostly red!).
Now, most of the shades go on slightly translucent with one layer, but the pigmentation is buildable without the lipstick starting to feel heavy. If you leave it at one layer, you will have more of a stain look.
As for staying power, there isn’t any transfer but you may want to touch up the neutral shades after eating. For the most part, there’s not a lot of fading going on though. They start wearing at the center of the lips first, and almost all of the shades do leave a very strong stain behind to help extend the color’s appearance— especially the reds and pinks. The stain alone can last 6 hours, even if the product has worn off. Micellar water will help remove it if necessary.
If you do need to touch up, they layer easily. These are by far the best drugstore liquid lip stains I’ve tried in color payoff and lasting power.
The main reason I’m using these more than many of my other liquid lipsticks is how they feel nonexistent on the lips and stay comfortable throughout the day. You’re not left with any crumbly or crackly feel but you get the chic look of a matte lip.
You can find the L’Oreal Rouge Signature Liquid Lipsticks on Amazon for under $10.
