Milking My Winter Wardrobe | Sweater Dress

Okay, I’ll admit: this past weekend, Los Angeles had beautiful weather. Like, high 70s low 80s beautiful (sorry, East Coast readers). But then it became blustery and rainy, which gave me an excuse to continue to get the most out of my winter wardrobe while I still can. I’ve been practically living in this sweater dress that was on sale a couple weeks ago from Necessary Clothing.

My goodness this thing is comfy. Sweater dresses are a low-maintenance clothing choice that you can quickly style with some leggings and nice boots to make an outfit. This one almost looks like your basic jersey hoodie but extra long.

A patterned scarf is a perfect accessory to add a short layer and a little bit of contrast. This is one of the Spun Scarves from Subtle Luxury that was featured in the December Popsugar Must Have Box. It’s light and the metallic flecks give a nice eye-catching flash.

The leggings are from Lauren Conrad’s line at Kohl’s. I used to hoard them when I worked there, and they’re the only leggings I’ll wear. They feel light, but they aren’t at all sheer (which is important when you like wearing leggings as pants like I do), and they hold up over time. They’re also long, so they look great with flats or tucked into boots like I have them here. I got the boots on sale for $15 on MYHABIT, which is Amazon’s style and beauty flash sale site. I still see them popping up there from time to time.

Although I’m excited for California’s infamous spring weather, I’m milking my cozy clothes until I can’t stand it anymore!

  1. I’m sorry- excuse me while I stare at your hair & hate myself… Okay but really you’re adorable.

  2. I love your scarf! I would totally wear an outfit like that. But it’s 79 here in Austin…so short and tank it is.

      1. Thank you, Miranda, for letting me know. I just went to the site, hoping for a miracle. But the one you own is sold out. And they have a gorgeous pink one that I would adore, but yes it is $62, a little too rich for me!

  3. I’m hating on you and the beautiful weather you’ve been having. Seriously lol Love that scarf, too. Anytime I wear it, I receive compliments.
