Men’s Fashion: Unique Watch for Every Style

Today I have something extra special for you, Slashed Squad! My husband, Adam, is taking over today to talk about his latest obsessions: watches. Specifically, a unique wood watch that he’s been wearing everywhere. Let me know if you like these men’s fashion posts, and I’ll see if I can convince Adam to show his face around here more often. I have recently become obsessed with watches. Lately, it has become a goal of mine to collect unique timepieces that I can incorporate into my style at work as well as casually around town. When it comes to unique watches, JORD is in a league of their own. They offer high-end timepieces whose bodies are almost entirely out of wood! I have been wearing the Dover Koa & Black Skeleton Face Wood Watch for the past month and I can’t leave the house without getting a compliment on it.

Wood watches aren’t that uncommon anymore, but JORD sets themselves apart. Their quality is something you can literally feel as you wear them. I have other watches with stainless steel bracelets, and when I pick up my JORD Dover watch, its weight feels similar to those. For what you’re getting, the price is beyond reasonable. I have seen watches of similar quality priced double what you can purchase a JORD watch for. You get to sport luxury styles without breaking the bank.

I wear suits every day for work, but my weekend style usually consists of jeans and a button down shirt. I love how the Dover Koa & Black watch can fit in with both aesthetics. The Skeleton style makes it look elegant, seeing the inner workings and metallic details. The wood body helps it crossover to casual style, whether it’s a t-shirt or a button down, or even a leather jacket.

Most importantly for those who wear watches for practicality as much as fashion is its accuracy. I have luxury watches from brands with a longer history than JORD, but the brand holds its own with regards to timekeeping. No analog watch will be absolutely perfect at keeping the time, and even this one specifies that it may lose or gain about 3 seconds per day. However, I have only had to correct my JORD watch once in the past month, and only by roughly seven seconds. As much as I love how watches add to my outfit, I need their basic function to be reliable. With my Dover, I have nothing to worry about.

I only found two minor flaws with my watch… and I do mean minor. First, the JORD logo on the face of my watch was slightly off center. I can easily look past it, but for others, it may drive them nuts. Secondly, I take pride in being able to size my own watches (removing/adding links) for myself. My Dover Koa & Black watch uses a unique type of pin that I wasn’t able to remove at home. I would always encourage any new watch owner to take their watches to a professional to have it properly sized.

Other than that, there is no reason why any serious watch enthusiast wouldn’t want to add a JORD watch to their collection. They have many different styles, colors, and types of watches to compliment almost any outfit. Plus, they take care in their packaging, which is also a wooden engraved box that is nice enough to display itself.
