How to Beat Boob Sweat During Summer

Ya’ll, it’s getting hot in here. And when you can’t just take off all your clothes, that can often mean one thing for the ladies: boob sweat. Even with a smaller chest, boob sweat is a concern of mine in the summer— I’ve definitely had it show through a few shirts in the past when out and about here in Vegas. Even when wearing a bra, those dreaded spots would show up right in the middle of my shirt on hot days, with no easy way to be covered. And even when boob sweat doesn’t show through your clothing, it’s never comfortable.

Over the past two years, living in the desert has definitely taught me some hot weather hacks to avoid feeling like a moist sock. I’ve discovered the two best ways to control boob sweat during summer that make a huge difference.

Quick & Convenient: Using Dry Spray

Last year, dry spray became one of my favorite ways to control sweat in “nooks and crannies” like the underboob and inner thigh area. I tested several dry sprays for this purpose and one of my favorites was the Dove Dry Spray, which contains the signature Dove 1/4 moisturizers for soft skin. The formula is also enriched with vitamin E and contains 0% alcohol.

The best part about using a dry spray rather than a solid deodorant on those areas is that you aren’t left with any residue and it’s truly invisible, so you can apply to exposed areas like the cleavage or the back of the knee without it being noticeable. It also really does go on dry, so you can get dressed immediately after applying without worrying… I may have even gotten brave and sprayed it on through the neck of my shirt without problems, though I wouldn’t suggest it just in case you’ve got a sensitive fabric on.

Natural & Effective: Sweat-Absorbing Powder

Over the past year, I’ve been stepping away from using anti-perspirants, but this left me at a loss for what to do about boob sweat and other areas of the body prone to dampness in the heat. Over the past two weeks, the first of the season to hit triple digit weather here, I’ve been wearing the Megababe Bust Dust. This is a 100% natural corn starch based powder that instantly absorbs sweat, but also soothes the skin with aloe, prevents the growth of bacteria with lavender, and reduces skin irritation with chamomile. The powder is incredibly fine and silky, and feels very soft when applied directly to the skin— not chalky at all.

The non-aerosol pump lets you apply it directly where you want it. If I’m applying to visible skin, I pump the powder into my hands first and then pat it onto the skin. For boob sweat, I’ll apply it straight from the pump to both my skin and the underwire of my bra to double up on sweat protection. As someone who doesn’t wash their bras after just one use, this has been a lifesaver to help extend their wear time. You can also use this anywhere on the body— not just the underboob. I love using the Megababe Bust Dust on my inner thigh area and under my tummy before working out to avoid sweat stains showing through my leggings. The scent is also very subtle but pleasant, much lighter than dry spray which I don’t mind, since it won’t interfere with my perfume.

These two methods of avoiding boob sweat have left me feeling much more liberated in the summertime with one less thing to worry about. With the Bust Dust a normal part of my routine now, I also feel like my outfit choices have really opened up as I don’t have to pick what to wear based on whether or not sweat will show through!

  1. This coming Sumner will have to try these although I don’t own the big mangoes just a 34C on a 5’3 fit body but good enough. Lol! I have always used baby powder under my couple of friends, underarms before applying deodorant, also always between my toes after drying well. Works well.

  2. I’m seriously so glad to know I’m not the only one who uses the Dove dry spray for that purpose!! I’ll have to check out the bust dust too. Thanks for the suggestion!
