The Better Skin Co. Better Skin Zit No More Acne Treatment Review
Even when you have a really great skin care routine down, sometimes you just get the occasional total freak out. Perhaps a change in weather, traveling, hormones, whatever the case may be— it’s incredibly frustrating.
That was what I was experiencing just a couple weeks ago. My skin was just straight up angry with me, and I wanted to bring in an outside player to see if I could speed up the healing process. I was on my way out of the country for a vacation I would be spending mostly bare-faced, so I wanted to fix it fast!
So, I reached for a new product that had been waiting for its time to shine in my routine: The Better Skin Co.’s Better Skin Zit No More Acne Treatment. I was skeptical that this little rollerball could do much on what seemed like acne armageddon, but I went ahead and rolled a small amount onto each problem area, letting it sink in before topping with my go-to moisturizer of the moment. The rollerball packaging makes it easy to apply, mess-free and also very travel friendly.
The formula is thin, so it absorbs quickly layers well either under other skin care products or even before a makeup routine. It’s made with Tea Tree Oil (which is the predominant smell of this product, by the way), Rose Hip Oil, Tung Wood, Rapeseed Oil, Vitamin E, Rosewood Oil and 1% Salicylic Acid for a magical blend that will attack acne while also nourishing the skin. It’s Vegan and the ingredients I just mentioned are literally ALL that’s in it— a clean formula for maximum results.
Overnight, I was seeing a difference in the appearance of my acne. Spots were looking less red and dramatically decreasing in size. After a full week of using the Better Skin Zit No More in place of my other acne products, all my spots were flattened and I was only left with a few discoloration marks. I’d apply it both in the morning and at night, and was impressed with the results. Check out the before and after above, and pay close attention to the real around my chin/lower cheeks and forehead. I really loved that this didn’t dry out my skin at all, which can be common with “harsher” maximum strength spot treatments.
I’ve used the Better Skin Zit No More on both whiteheads and under-the-skin cystic acne, and it’s helped improve the appearance of both types of pimples. It clears whiteheads in a matter of a couple days, and has shrunken cystic acne by about 80% in the span of a week. (I’ll probably dab a little bit of my maximum strength treatment to help finish the job). For both types of acne, it reduced redness overnight.
Even at $18, which is a bit more pricey than other spot treatments I’ve tried, there’s no denying it— this simple formula simply works for me, making it totally worth it. You can find it online at Ulta Beauty or Amazon Prime.
