Summer is usually all about the warm shades when it comes to makeup, and that theme has been super prevalent in most of the latest releases. But, there are so many of us that prefer cool eye looks whether it be just a preference for those shades, or perhaps they compliment our skin tone better.
I absolutely love the look of a cool toned eye look– they especially make my brown eyes pop! So amidst all the trendy hot colors, let’s take a look at some cool toned drugstore eye shadow palettes to round out your collection.

1. L’Oreal Color Riche La Palette Nude 2 ($19.99)
This neutrals palette has a very plum-leaning color scheme, with cool browns to help get both daytime subtle looks or dramatic sultry eyes for date night. The shadows are soft and easy to blend, making it a great everyday palette for those who favor cool colors.
2. COVERGIRL TruNaked Smoky Eyeshadow Palette ($11.99)
The COVERGIRL TruNaked palettes are my favorite at the drugstore, with awesome pigmentation and the option to apply wet for a metallic look. The Smoky Eyeshadow Palette is no exception. This palette is definitely for those who want to go bold with deep blues and purples and a really show-stopping silver.
3. e.l.f. Everyday Smoky Eyeshadow Palette ($10)
This is one of my favorites from e.l.f.– even though it’s a Smoky palette, it is incredibly versatile and can easily be worn daily. See my swatches of this palette here. You have a great range of mattes and shimmers in cool taupes, browns, greys and an intense black. This is a collection staple I always recommend, especially for the price!
4. NYX Cool Neutrals Ultimate Shadow Palette ($17.99)
This palette is full of muted cool shades, and with so many mattes! It’s a great option for fair-skinned beauty lovers and you’ll get a ton of looks out of the curated colors. With unique pops of color like shimmering greens and a vibrant purple, it sets itself apart from the other neutral palettes.
5. BH Cosmetics Supernova 18 Color Baked Eyeshadow Palette ($15.99)
If you’re looking for something with more color, you can’t go wrong with this palette from BH Cosmetics. They’re my favorite brand of baked shadows because of the pigmentation, and the ability to apply wet for an intense color boost! The Supernova palette is mostly cool-toned with vibrant greens, magentas, and blues that you may not already have in your collection!
