Romantic Valentine’s Day Makeup Tutorial

I know, I know, Valentine’s Day can either be really exciting or really dreadful depending on the person. But to be honest, I think regardless of your relationship status, you can use it as a reason to get pretty and go out for tons of fun.

While I personally really enjoy Valentine’s Day, I’m not one to usually sport a bunch of pink or red in my looks to signal my festiveness. While creating my Valentine’s Day makeup this year, though, I thought I’d add a touch of pink that’s not too overpowering, but is still whimsical and pretty.

This was my first time using the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette, which I’m in love with. You can definitely pick this up for less than full price— either wait for a sale (which I usually post about), or you can sign up for their email list for 20% off when you buy straight from their website.

This year, Adam and I are celebrating Valentine’s Day by going to Paint Nite together and having dinner at our favorite Greek place, as tradition holds! What are your plans?

Don’t forget to pin this look if you ❤️ it!

  1. I so love this look! I enjoyed your video! I guess me and Keith have been married so long, he never really cares whether I wear makeup or just go all natural. I guess that could be a good thing or a bad thing…..LOL!

  2. You are one gorgeous lady! Enjoy your V-date. When you get old like me (hahaha), V day means take out and watch 3D movie at home.

  3. I’m so excited for Valentine’s Day since I have tickets to an event in Long Beach. My husband also prefers it when I wear less makeup

  4. My husband honestly admits that he thinks I’m prettier with makeup on. However, he says that he doesn’t like super bright colors because they distract from my “beautiful face”, and prefers when I wear more earthy tones and pinks.

  5. My hubby prefers a natural look, too – or so he tells me! lol. I’m home a lot, and I don’t put on makeup unless I’m going out, so he sees that ‘natural’ face most of the time. I did know someone who used to go to work with no makeup, and then would doll up when she went home to her husband. All I want to do when I get home is take off my bra and makeup and get comfy! LOL

  6. Pretty makeup look. 🙂

My husband knows better than to express a preference one way or another. Whether I am made up or scrubbed faced, I am perfect. Heh! Heh!
