Review & Swatches: e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in Fiji

e.l.f. Cosmetics has been churning out new products like crazy for fall! I feel like I’ve gushed over their original Contouring Blush & Bronzer duo many times, but I’ve always wished they had a matte version. All three previous versions of the duo contained either a shimmer or satin finish, which isn’t my cup of tea for contouring. Well, the e.l.f. fairies heard my prayers and have delivered this to me! (No literally, they delivered it to me last week as a surprise and I was like OH MY GOD!)

Review & Swatches: e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzing Powder in Fiji

Meet the newest duo: Fiji. It comes in the same sleek black compact with a generously sized mirror on the inside.

Both the blush and bronzer have a smooth, matte finish that is great for sculpting the face. The blush is a warm, dusty rose shade. It looks a bit intimidating at first, but it blends out easily and you can diffuse the color to become more of a soft mauve. I can definitely see myself wearing this a lot through the fall season.

The bronzer in Fiji looked warm to begin with, which I’m not typically fond of for contouring. Luckily, it doesn’t show up as warm on the skin. You get medium pigmentation, so it doesn’t offer super intense sculpting, but the shade is really nice for an every-day face. Although, it might not be dark enough if you have a deeper skin tone than I do.

I think the e.l.f. Contouring Blush & Bronzer duo in Fiji is great for matte-lovers like me, and I hope that e.l.f. releases more shades! A deeper, cooler bronzer would be much appreciated for sure. The best part is: it’s only three bucks! I don’t know about your local Target, but mine takes forever to get new releases, so your best bet is to head over to e.l.f.’s website to grab this!

In case you missed it over the long weekend, check out my latest video below where I talk about this duo, the new Pressed Mineral Bronzers I reviewed here, and the new Studio Blending Brush from e.l.f.’s fall launch!

  1. I love ELF. I want to try the Studio blending brush, and Fiji duo, and they have a ‘ballz’ bronzer and color corrector they just put out a little while ago that I also want to try! Waiting for the next 50% off sale. 🙂
