June 2015 Boxycharm Review

So, I’ve pretty much decided to just stick with one monthly subscription box moving forward, and that’s Boxycharm. It’s the one subscription that I feel sends products that I actually end up using… and no having to deal with useless sample sizes!

June 2015 Boxycharm Review | Slashed Beauty

I was excited for the June 2015 Boxycharm, being the first box of the summer, and I wasn’t let down! I was super happy with the cosmetics we got this month— take a look in the video below.

Product Breakdown:

1. Eslor Chlorophyll Lifting Mask (Full Size, $38)
This mask looks scary but I might end up trying it out anyway! It’s super appropriate for summer, infused with seaweed and other plant extracts for luminous and firmer skin. I’m usually not a big fan of skin care in subscriptions, since I feel like it’s so personal, but I’ve been looking for some new masks lately so this fits the bill. Too bad it leaked all around the cap!

2. Bellapierre Cosmetics Kabuki Brush (Full Size, $29.99)

I, for one, would never pay $30 for a teeny kabuki brush. Although, this is a convenient size for on the go and the synthetic bristles are very flexible and soft for easy powdering. It’s also dense which will probably make it great for even coverage.

3. The Beauty Crop Lighting Crew Highlighting Cream (Full Size, $18)
YAAAAAS. This is the freaking most beautiful cream highlight of life. I had never heard of this brand, but I’ll definitely be doing more exploring because I LOVE! The highlighting cream is mousse-like and blends effortlessly for a healthy champagne glow. Now that “strobing” is a thing, this will come in handy when I just want that radiance without hardcore contouring.

4. ncLA Nail Lacquer (Full Size, $16)
I am a fan of the ncLA polish formula, which is opaque and creamy. I love this blush pink color, called Title IV, which is a really pretty nude to wear for summer.

5. Cargo Cosmetics Eye Shadow Single (Full Size, $16)
Loving this matchy-matchy shadow in Pasadena, which is another dusty pink that will be really pretty both on the eyes and to double up as a blush! It’s not entirely matte… it has a slightly satin finish and is fairly pigmented.

Thumbs up for the June 2015 Boxycharm! Very happy with the makeup and nail color, which will definitely get lots of use this summer! Although I’m trying to add more color to my looks, I’m a sucker for a good neutral pink.

Boxycharm is only $21 per month, and totally worth it considering you’re getting full sizes that check out to be way more than the box itself!
