Best in Fall Skin: e.l.f. Micellar Water & Hydrating Water Sheet Mask

The e.l.f. skin care line has been expanding like crazy since its inception a year and a half ago, and I must admit that it has delivered some personal favorites! They’ve been pumping out quality products at their notoriously good prices pretty consistently, and you can even find the line in-stores now. Two stand-outs from their most recent launches: the e.l.f. Hydrating Water Sheet Mask and Micellar Cleansing Water.

With fall and winter swiftly approaching, these two products will be playing a huge part in my own skin care routine, as my face is going to need more gentle and hydrating care. My combo skin takes a turn for the dry and flaky at the slightest weather change late in the year, but I know these will keep it tamed.

The e.l.f. Micellar Cleansing Water ($7) joins the micellar craze but is still one of only a handful of drugstore options. And can I be honest? I might just like this one the best. It works really well, and actually took off more visible dirt than my Garnier one did in the morning. I typically reserve micellar water for morning when I want a gentle cleanse without drying my skin out. I also use it mid-day after workouts when I’m just trying to pick up oil and sweat. While it can also be used as a makeup remover, I don’t typically use it like that because of the amount of product I wear, though it’s perfect for light makeup days. It leaves my skin cleansed, fresh and hydrated.

The e.l.f Hydrating Water Sheet Mask ($3) is bomb… a moisture bomb that is, made with purified water, aloe, and hyaluronic acid. With I’ll be straight with you, I’m not a huge fan of sheet masks to start. I don’t typically like the material they’re made of, how goopy they feel, and how they tend to slide right off my face.

Well, while this one is also of the “goopy” sort, I will say that it fit my face perfectly and didn’t budge as I went about my morning routine with it on. It’s completely saturated, so after twenty minutes you can either rub the remaining moisturizer into your skin, or wipe it off with a cotton round. The moisturizer is intense, and gave my skin a noticeable glow. This is great in the morning to refresh your face in preparation for your makeup, or at night to wake up with soft, bouncy skin.

I haven’t tried any of their skincare yet. I’d be curious to try the micellar water.

That cleansing water sounds amazing I may just have to look for it! I also too love using it to give my face that “fresh” feeling in the morning, specially when I don’t have a lot of time to wash my face in the morning.
