ColourPop 2016 Fall Edit Haul & Swatches

A ColourPop haul was way overdue for me, as I hadn’t picked up any of their new releases for two years! I finally bit the bullet when they had their Labor Day sale, which let you earn one free Ultra Matte Lip from their new shades with every $10 spent. And if you’re a fan of the brand, you know hitting $10… and another $10… and another is very easy.

The first items I picked up were their new shadows from The Fall Edit: Tang and Stereo. They both have a purple-y vibe and work well together for a two-step smoky eye.

Stereo is a burgundy-leaning purple with gold and purple shimmer. You can get a really rich and deep application when applying and layering with your finger. Tang is a matte mauve that is awesome for using as a blending or transition shade. I often wear these by patting Stereo all over the lid and blend it out with Tang. Easy peasy and looks super glam for fall.

The liquid lipsticks are, as always, my favorite part of the haul. I picked up three brand new shades (two being free!) and one other that I just had to have. The outlier, Marshmallow (satin finish), is this grey lavender that is so unique and I couldn’t wait to work it into new looks.

The new shades I picked up were Times Square (matte)— the perfect mauve nude, Love Bug (matte)— a smooth brick red, and Hutch (satin) from their fall edit, which is a very deep oxblood purple.

Finally, I grabbed their new Lippie Stix in Dukes, which also comes in pencil form, which is another vampy deep mahogany. I find it to be very close to Hutch, so you can probably just pick up one or the other for the same effect if you want to streamline.

The Fall Edit is slowly growing as the season goes on, and this is just a taste of what they’ve added since I put my order in! Check out the rest of the releases on the ColourPop website.

Which is your favorite shades out of the new releases?

How do you find it best to apply the eyeshadows ? With a brush or fingers ?

Since I applied Tang as a transition/blending shade, I used a blending brush but I tapped Stereo on the lid with my fingers.
