New Pick for Best Drugstore Mascara: Flower Beauty Warrior Princess Mascara

I’ll admit, it took me way too long to try Flower Beauty makeup, but once I did, I was super impressed! Why it doesn’t get as much hype as other makeup brands, I have no idea. There was one product, though, that really blew me away and has quickly become a favorite. The Flower Beauty Warrior Princess Mascara has not just been my go-to ever since my first application, but I’m giving it the title of the best drugstore mascara at the moment. Yeah, it’s that good!

New Pick for Best Drugstore Mascara: Flower Beauty Warrior Princess Mascara Review | Slashed Beauty

The $9.99 Flower Beauty Warrior Princess Mascara is a gluten-free and vegan drugstore mascara that transforms short, straight lashes. It adds volume, length, and crazy lift while fanning out your lashes to maximize the effect. This totally rivals high end mascaras I’ve tried, and gives me enough of an impact to skip falsies for glam looks.

Half the magic is in the brush, which is hourglass shaped but still on the smaller side and easy to control. It’s actually very similar to the Too Faced Better Than Sex wand, but I like this one wayyy better. First of all, it doesn’t pull as much product out of the tube so application is never too gloopy or thick. Plus, I feel like it has more strategically placed bristles that separate and comb each lash, creating that fuller look. There’s no clumping and the lashes never stick together.

As far as the formula goes, the Warrior Princess mascara checks all the boxes. I get a noticeably thicker look, pretty much double my natural lash length, and this mascara can seriously hold a curl. It’s exactly the look I like, and it’s easy to get there in just one thin coat.

With that said, this is a pretty dry mascara formula. On one hand, that makes it more lightweight so that my lashes don’t droop down throughout the day, but also could cause flaking. Particularly if you decide to really build up the drama, flakes will be more inevitable. Luckily, you really don’t need to be layering for days when using this drugstore mascara— it gets you to the end look quickly. The less you use, the less likely you’ll find flakes under your eyes throughout the day. It’s definitely not a deal breaker for me, especially because the pros outweigh this one small con. Other than that, there’s no smudging or running (however, it’s not waterproof).

I’m honestly so confused how I’ve never heard of this mascara before— out of all the “best drugstore mascaras” that other beauty creators talk about, I’ve never seen this make the list… it’s truly a hidden gem that you need to check out!

You can find the Flower Beauty Warrior Princess mascara at Ulta Beauty for $9.99.

I use this as a top coat with other mascara-it seems to do more in that capacity. I have really liked it.
