My Beauty, Health and Wellness Resolutions + GIVEAWAY
HAPPY NEW YEAR! Wow, 2015. Shouldnβt there be flying cars by now? (Although that would hardly solve the traffic problems in Los Angeles.) I already know there are great things in store this year, but I still want to sit down and write out some of my goals. Writing resolutions helps them become a reality because I feel more accountable when theyβre laid out in front of me, and especially when I share them with you! So, today is reserved for more of a personal post as I share where I hope 2015 leads me. These beauty, health and wellness resolutions are great places to start in leading a more beautiful life!
#1 | Take Beauty Risks
As a beauty enthusiast, I want my skill and knowledge to grow with each year. Even though I constantly try new products, Iβm definitely a creature of habit when it comes to my go-to makeup looks as well as the products I keep in rotation during my beauty routine. This year, I want to make it a point to find uses for my forgotten products (as well as new ones!), using different ones daily and trying daring makeup looks frequently.
#2 | Spend More Time with Friends
While I am glad to have had many accomplishments in 2014, it wasnβt without sacrificing some of my social life. As Iβve gotten older, my number of close friends has narrowed to a select few whom I really want to spend more time with in the new year. Especially since we are all graduating from university this year, itβs more important than ever to keep our bonds strong and cherish each moment.
#3 | A Healthy Smile
Iβm super embarrassed to admit it, but I wound up with FOUR cavities this year! To be fair, this was the first year I went to the dentist since high school because of my insurance changing over. But seriously, I need to get my smile in check. That means brushing twice a day for two minutes with anticavity toothpaste. Iβm also smiling brighter and more confidently thanks to Crest 3D Whitestrips, which I reviewed here. Soon, there wonβt be any trace left of my soda addiction from years past.
#4 | Stay On Track with School
As I mentioned, by the end of this year I will be a college graduate! It will have only taken four and a half years, but itβs imperative that I stay on track in terms of grades and my class schedule so all goes as planned. Iβve managed to always swing a GPA between 3 and 4.0, so my goal is to graduate with honors.
#5 | Be Active
Regardless of being a clichΓ© resolution, being active and living a healthy lifestyle has been a priority of mine the past couple years. Iβve worked so hard to bring my cholesterol down, lose weight, and become stronger and healthier, and I want to keep it up! Itβs been harder as I balance my day job, school and my blog, but Iβm trying to make it a point to exercise at home, drink a LOT of water, and track my activity.
#6 | Be Generous
β¨Iβve really been so lucky to have had what I consider a successful year, and I want to spread the love in 2015. It could mean agreeing to drive a friend to the airport, help someone with their school project, or donating money or goods to charity. I want to do more to βpay it forward,β because it makes someone else feel good and makes me feel good. Everybody wins!
#7 | Unwind and Rest Well
Itβs no secret that I spread myself thin between all of my commitments. This makes for a ton of late nights and miserable mornings. Sometimes when I do hit the hay at a decent hour, my head is racing a mile a minute thinking about anything and everything. This year, I want to treat myself to good rest and sleep so I can recharge, relax, and prepare myself for being productive during the day. ZzzQuil has recently become a medicine cabinet staple for getting rid of those sleepless nights.
This year #StartsHere, and all of my necessities for keeping my resolutions alive came from Walgreens. If you share any of the same goals as me, youβre in luck. I teamed up with Walgreens to give away a prize pack to keep you on track for 2015 with beauty, health and wellness supplies.

Those are great resolutions! So cool that you’re almost done with college!
Ok it’s going to sound odd, but my resolution this year is to listen to my records more! I have a huge record collection (like, actual vinyl record albums…yeah those things!) and I buy them frequently but rarely actually listen to them. My record player isn’t permanently hooked up to a sound system so I need to get that done. I have a thing for old music (pretty much anything older than me) and I typically have music playing all day through some device but my favorite is listening to them on records – there’s just nothing like it.
I love your list girl – any time you feel like you’re lost or may stray you just come back here and read what you’ve put down and it will get you amped to get back on track! I have no doubt you’re gonna have a kickass year. Can’t wait to see what it has in store!!

Sorry to hear about your dad! I hope you have some fun and exciting times this year!
Great list of resolutions. Yes, cherish your time with friends because after your graduation, chances of seeing them become less… and lesser.
To exercise more
A better sense of self and ability to motivate myself!
I want to be more intentional and focused with my relationships and my time.
I want to try and be healthier, lose some weight is my main focus for 2015 summer and to spend as much time as possible spending time with my daughter π
I don’t really call them resolutions, but I would like to be more focused on the things I want to accomplish. Happy New Year!
My New Years Resolution is to budget more so I can save more money and to also make more time for friends and family.
I have some similar resolutions/goals for 2015. I want to get back in shape after 3 years of bad habits & not having an exercise partner. Part of reaching that goal will likely involve getting a new dog to be my new exercise/activity partner. I want to start some blogs/YouTube channels (including one on beauty products) I’ve been talking about for over a year. I want to get out more & make some new friends in this new city. I’ve signed up to be an organizer on girlfriendsocial.com, so hopefully that will help with this goal…or just be fun. I’m also hoping to either upgrade to a full-time position or go back to grad school in August. I doubt I will give up my pop addiction, but I’m going to try to find some non-mint products to whiten my teeth.
My resolution is to eat healthier
I hope this year to excercise more and to make food from scratch more often.
My big new years resolution is to no longer eat restaurant food, which includes the sub-resolutions to no longer consume other peoples saliva or things prepared with unwashed hands!!!!!!
