With long, hot summer days making my mind melt to mush, I’ve been looking for small pick-me-ups to keep me inspired. On my last Walmart run, I ran into some fun new body washes that hooked me with their color, ingredients and price tag. The new Tone® body washes in Mango Splash and Petal Soft have added fun and fragrance to my routine, all the while inspiring a new nail art design!
I loved the doodle-y designs and the bright colors on the bottles, which gave me the idea for this funky flower nail art. It’s incredibly easy to recreate since it doesn’t have to be super neat, and it adds a fun pop of color to your look.
Keep reading to see how to do the design yourself, and for more info on why I’m loving these body washes.
How to Create Funky Floral Nail Art:
- Paint your base nail shade. I chose a hot pink.
- Using a pink nail art pen or a dotting tool, create pink flowers in a different shade than your base.
- Using yellow nail art pen or a dotting tool, add centers to your flower and any other designs you want in this color. I added a few dashes sprouting from the flowers.
- Using a black nail art pen or a dotting tool, outline your flowers, add dots or decorative lines… really whatever makes the design feel complete to you!
- Finish off with a top coat and you’re done!
#HowITone: I love my funky floral nails because it feels whimsical and unique… just like these body wash scents! Mango Splash is for sure my favorite with its tangy fragrance that reminds me of sipping smoothies on vacation. This one is great in the morning when I need my senses to wake up and feel revitalized. The Cocoa Butter and Papaya in the formula make it incredibly moisturizing so my skin feels awesome out of the shower.
Petal Soft is another scent I like, which is floral but never overpowering, making me feel as pretty as I smell after using this. It’s great at night since it’s calming and subtle. The rose oil is another great addition to get silky skin. I don’t know about you, but awesome scents make my shower so much more enjoyable… and it’s even better when the formula actually does good for your skin!
Also, check it out: there’s an Ibotta offer to earn $2 when you buy two Tone Body Washes! Considering they’re literally just under $3 a bottle at Walmart, that’s a heck of a deal. #FindYourTone by checking out their Instagram for more colorful inspiration.
