Bright eyeshadow looks are my jam for Summer. I think it’s the perfect time to rock bold and colorful shades, which always inspire my creative side. Lately, I’ve really been trying to create more out-of-the-box looks, straying from the run of the mill neutrals that usually dominate my makeup collection. I’ve loved doing bright cut creases with a lot of color contrast, or super diffused monochromatic gradient lids.

The BH Cosmetics Take Me Back to Brazil Palette is the newest rainbow eyeshadow palette in my collection, and I’m loving it! There are 35 pressed pigments that are incredibly vibrant and work well together when mixing and matching. This palette has a great balance between matte, satin and shimmer finishes, giving you everything you need to create full looks with a lot of dimension. Plus, you get two duo-chrome transformers that you can use as highlights or toppers, and a matte black to deepen up any shade. This is the perfect addition to any beginner’s collection for an affordable way to add almost every color in the rainbow in one fell swoop. Check out my tutorial using this palette here.

2. Karity 21 Shadow Palette in Matte ($29)

I am really open about my favoritism towards matte shades, so this colorful palette is a dream for me. There are 21 shades all with a flat matte finish and high pigmentation to really make a statement with. What I love about this palette is that they did throw in a few neutral shades to help bring balance and make the pops of color more wearable for every day scenarios. The formula is so buttery soft and easy to blend, and the shades translate on the skin almost exactly how they look in the pan without much effort. Take a closer look at this palette and see it in action in this tutorial.

3. NYX Off Tropic Hasta La Vista Palette ($19.99)

When I want to bring color with me on the go, this is the palette I grab! Don’t let the bite-size palette fool you, though, it’s packed with pigment! The NYX Hasta La Vista Off Tropic palette is inspired by island heat with ten shades that range from neon pinks to smokey plums. Despite there only being ten shades, the balance of tones in the palette gives you many possibilities to mix and match for multiple looks.

4. Juvia’s Place The Magic Mini Eyeshadow Palette ($25)

For the perfect balance of cool and warm tones, the Magic Mini Palette from Juvia’s Place can’t be beat. This up-and-coming brand has taken social media by storm and once it hit shelves at Ulta Beauty, has become unstoppable! This palette in particular has a lot to work with, from show-stopping reds to rich navy blues. I love that when you blend these shades out, they maintain their vibrancy. I will say that this palette favors the shimmer and satin finish, but you do get enough matte shades to mix it up.

What are your favorite affordable colorful eyeshadow palettes?

I love the look you created with the BH Cosmetics Palette. I’ve been on the fence about getting it for a but I don’t really create a lot of bold looks still there seems like a lot you could do with it, I’ve also had my eye Juvia’s Place palettes but I want to go find a few other products in the brand before I go for my next makeup haul.
