3-Step Fast Minimal Makeup Routine

Let’s face it, some days we either don’t have time to put on a full face of makeup, or maybe you just don’t feel like going full glam. Recently, I’ve been leaning toward a minimal, fresh face as my daily look. I still add definition to the focal points of my face, but it’s as close to a true no-makeup makeup look I can get while still feeling put together.

My current no-makeup makeup routine only consists of three steps, but makes a big difference. You can recreate it yourself for a naturally enhanced look that can be worn anytime, anywhere.

Step 1: Tinted Moisturizer

Whether you’re dealing with uneven skin tone, or your skin is clear and perfect (lucky you…) tinted moisturizer makes for a great base for a minimal makeup routine. Depending on the product, you can get light to medium coverage and a radiant skin finish. When I don’t plan on adding contour, blush or highlight, tinted moisturizer is the way to go as it doesn’t flatten out my appearance and retains your natural dimension.

What I’m currently using: Undone Beauty UnFoundation Glow Tint ($14)
This vegan & cruelty free clean brand has been on my radar lately, and I recently started using this tinted moisturizer for light coverage and a gorgeous glow. It reflects light to help blur imperfections while enhancing your face shape, so you basically have a highlighted look without the extra product. It’s infused with coconut extract for a dewy look.

Step 2: Defined Brows

Clean, defined brows are the trick to looking made up with little actual makeup. I fill mine in with a fine pencil to create hair-like strokes for a fluffy yet neat look, making sure to even out any sparse areas. If you already have very full brows and don’t need to fill them in, you can remove stray hairs and pronounce the shape for a polished result. Powder brow products are another way to fill easily and subtly.

What I’m currently using: Revolution Pro Define and Fill Brow Pencil ($8)
This is my absolute favorite budget-friendly brow product at the moment. It reminds me of a high end product that I love, but delivers the same look at more than half the price. It has a very fine tip for natural looking strokes and while it defines and creates clean edges, my brows never look drawn on or blocky. It’s a soft formula that brushes through easily to even out sparse areas, and it lasts all day.

Step 3: Lifted Lashes

Finally, adding a coat of mascara can really transform your eyes, accentuating their shape and giving you a more awake appearance. Choose a mascara that keeps your lashes separated to avoid clumps. For maximum effect, curl your lashes first so that they stay lifted.

Believe Beauty Volumin'eyes Mascara | Best Everyday Drugstore Mascara | Slashed Beauty

What I’m currently using: Believe Beauty Volumin’eyes Mascara ($4.50)
This is my favorite daily mascara right now, and at under $5 it’s a serious steal! It lifts, separates, thickens and lengthens for fluttery lashes that don’t look clumpy or heavy.

In just three steps, I feel like this minimal makeup routine does a lot for my face, as well as my confidence! It’s quick, versatile, and adds the perfect amount of touching up while maintaining your natural looks.
