The Best of Pixi Beauty Makeup & Skin Care
Despite having been in the game for over two decades now, I feel like Pixi Beauty still flies under the radar even though they have amazing skin care and makeup. At the drugstore, they may seem priced on the higher side of the spectrum, but their products truly deliver on a different level. Their skin care is better than a lot of prestige products I’ve tried, and they’ve got some major makeup hits that have become instant staples in my collection.
I’ve been a fan of the cruelty-free brand for about 6 years now, trying out most of their new releases as they launch. Here are my updated picks for the best Pixi Beauty products to date, some classics and some newer hits.
The Best Pixi Beauty Skin Care Products
This cult classic toner is undoubtedly the brand’s most popular product. Glow Tonic is an alcohol-free toner made with skin-loving ingredients like witch hazel, aloe vera, glycolic acid and ginseng extract. It helps gently exfoliate and purify the skin while minimizing the appearance of pores and brightening the skin for a glowy look. This will never NOT be part of my skin care routine, as it helps my acne clear up and dark spots fade more quickly.
This is a recent launch that has completely turned around my skin! It’s an affordable way to work retinol into your skin care routine to get the awesome anti-aging and skin clearing benefits. This lightweight lotion has a milky consistency but gives me enough hydration for the desert environment I live in! It instantly sinks into my skin and once I started using this regularly, my breakouts have been much more few and far between and the overall texture of my skin has vastly improved.
Similarly to the lotion from this collection, this facial oil helps deliver antioxidants and benefits of retinol with the rich moisture of Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, and Sunflower Seed Oil (all non-comedogenic oils, so they play nicely with my acne-prone skin) plus Jasmine Extract. Since this is heavier, I use it once every few nights in place of the Jasmine Retinol Lotion, or whenever I’m feeling particularly dry. By morning, my skin is looking glowy and still feeling hydrated.
This is one of my favorite moisturizers come summer or for before activity. It’s an incredibly lightweight gel formula that cools and refreshes while moisturizing. The moisturizer contains aloe vera and rosemary to protect and heal, plus Green Tea for the antioxidant properties. It works to immediately rehydrate and trap moisture into the skin for a fresh and healthy look and feel. This is an awesome product to layer under makeup since it’s so thin but effective, and great for hydrating oily skin since it doesn’t leave any residue feeling behind.

This has been a constant in my makeup routine for years. The Natural Contour Powder is my perfect shading product. Like the name suggests, it helps shape your face in a natural way with its neutral/cool shade. It only comes in one color, and would work best for light to medium skin tones. The silky texture blends onto the face easily to enhance your features while nourishing your skin with aloe vera, super fruit and coffee extracts.
I only recently found out about this compact and I can’t believe I lived without it for so long. This is hands down the most glowy drugstore highlight that exists. There are two shades in the compact to compliment whatever tones you’re working with in your look of the day, and they will add serious strobe to your face. I love a good beam of light on the skin, and these don’t disappoint! You can definitely achieve a more natural look with a lighter hand, but I like going all out for the drama. The best part: this highlight doesn’t exaggerate the texture of my skin, if it’s looking rough.
I’ll admit, Pixi eyeshadows have been hit or miss for me over the years, but this particular one hit it out of the park for me. It’s got the perfect balance of mattes and shimmers, the shadows are all pigmented and the formulation feels silky and easy to blend. The metallic shades in this palette are particularly gorgeous and let you really glam up your neutral looks.
You know those products you keep re-discovering in your collection and you think to yourself, I forgot how good these are! That is the Endless Silky Eye Pen for me. They get lost in my drawer of eyeliners but whenever I reach for them, they impress me. The formula is so soft and creamy, gliding onto the skin with high intensity pigment. Once they set, they last— they’re waterproof and smudgeproof. They come in a ton of different shades for fun looks, both in matte and metallic finishes.
These ranked #3 for my top 10 favorite liquid lipsticks at the moment. Yes, you get a classic matte finish but without the dry feeling. They’re long wearing and incredibly pigmented in just one swipe while staying comfortable all day. I also love the pointed wand which makes precise application, so you don’t need to line the lips ahead of time. Click here for my in-depth review and swatches.
Haven’t tried any of pixies products, what would you recommend? Thank!
