September 2014 Boxycharm Review

    September 2014 Boxycharm Review

Boxycharm is an affordable beauty subscription that I’m still new to— I just received my second box over the weekend! I was really enthusiastic about what I got in my August box, so I was on the edge of my seat to see what would follow for September’s selection of products.

In short, I wasn’t let down. Check out the video for my first reaction to the products

    Unboxing & Product Descriptions:

    Product Breakdown:

    1. Hello Fragrance by Harvey Prince (Retail: $29)
This fragrance is really fresh and fruity, which is right up my alley. It’s a shame that the bottle came leaking, because it’s definitely something I would have worn a lot! I would say its a bit pricey for the amount you get in the full size, but that just makes it more exciting to receive in the box.

    2. tarte LipSurgence Lip Gloss (Retail: $19)
tarte makes some of my favorite higher end makeup— especially their lip products! This smooth gloss is comfortable and smells like candy, yum. Tipsy is a light coral that makes for a great pinky nude to pair with dramatic eye looks.

    3. Coastal Scents Go Palette (Retail: $12.95)
I’m a big fan of Coastal Scents palettes, so this was a special treat to receive! I got the palette in the “Cairo” version, which included many smokey neutral shadows that are perfect for this season. Stay tuned, I’ll definitely be reviewing and swatting this soon!

    4. NCLA Nail Lacquer (Retail: $16)

Is this shade freaking gorgeous, or what? Model Behavior is a deep blackened burgundy that is totally gonna match the dark lips I’ll be wearing once we get farther into the season. The best part: it’s not tested on animals!

    5. Tarina Tarantino Fleur de Lash Mascara (Retail: $19)
This mascara is in its limited edition packaging, and is supposed to both thicken and lengthen lashes. The brush definitely looks like it can take on even the most wimpy eyelashes, like my own, with its dense bristles.

    Total Value: $95.95

Do I even have to tell you all that I’m in love with the September 2014 Boxycharm box? Sure, the fragrance coming broken was sad, but the rest of the products are still major scores. I think I’m most excited for the eyeshadow palette and the polish.

Boxycharm is only $21 per month, and you always get full size products. It’s working up the ranks to becoming my new favorite box! Order yours on Boxycharm.com

    1. I may get this sub when I end one of my others. The Harvey Prince perfume is the only bummer for me – I would love those notes, but for some reason, it smells like turpentine on me. Congrats on being in print!
