In my December Beauty Box 5, I got many great skincare goodies to help with the havoc winter wreaks! Among them was the Every Beauty Flexible Foot Smoother.
The Flexible Foot Smoother is an alternative to using a pumice stone to exfoliate and buff the dry, rough skin on your feet. However, it can also be used on other areas of the body, like the knees and elbows.
This exfoliating product actually looks very similar to a common cleaning sponge. Make sure you keep it in the shower or someone might just try to wash the dishes with it! One side has a coarse texture, while the flip side is on the finer side. Just like a common sponge, the Foot Smoother is malleable and can conform to the body’s contours, unlike a pumice stone. It’s pretty dense and won’t soak up too much water in the shower, which is a plus for hygiene in my book!
I don’t know about you, but one of the grossest feelings to me is when I have dry skin that seems to catch on my bed sheets! The Foot Smoother took care of that problem easily. I used this puppy first on my feet using the coarse side, which helped buff off some dry skin. I found the coarse side to be perfect for the soles of the feet, but much too rough for any other skin on my body. Even when using the fine side of the Foot Smother, hardly any pressure was needed for thorough exfoliation. Using a heavy hand with this product could do more harm than good, so be gentle!
I personally prefer using the Foot Smoother over a pumice stone because of the variation in textures, as well as the flexibility. I find that it’s a piece of cake to use on the feet because it’s easy to grip, and has more surface area to work with. This is also a great way to apply foot scrubs! I scooped a bit of my Pamperosity Peppermint Foot Scrub onto the coarse side before going at my feet, which offered extra moisture while I exfoliated.
For only $4.99, the Foot Smoother is a handy little skincare product that is easy to use and effective in combatting dry, rough and cracked skin. Just be careful not to be too rough, as both sides offer intense exfoliation. If you have sensitive skin, I would suggest using this product exclusively on your feet. You can purchase the Flexible Foot Smoother online at the Every Beauty website.
