Price Slash Alert: 50% off at e.l.f. (& What I Bought)

While we still have a bit of time until Mother’s Day, e.l.f. is ahead of the game with this awesome sale. Until Monday, April 21st, you can get 50% off on any Gifts or Spring Collection items from your order of $25+! To clarify, your whole order does not need to be comprised of products from the Gifts/Spring Collection category, but it does need to be at least $25, and the discount will ONLY apply to the Gift/Spring Collection products. Use the code FORMOM at checkout. Cannot be combined with other offers.

I knew I wanted to take advantage of this offer, because there have been a couple of things my collection has been lacking.

The first thing I picked up was the 80-piece Day to Night Eyeshadow Palette. It was already marked down from $25 to $10, and with the 50% off, I only paid five bucks! My eyeshadow is really lacking color variety, and I liked the greens, purples, and blues in this palette. Plus, there are a lot of neutral shades that I could see myself pairing with a bold lip this spring and summer.

I have been waiting for them to restock their Studio Large Brush Holder ($15) for a verrrrrrrrrry long time. I even got so desperate, I searched for it on eBay and some guy wanted $99 for it… Um, no way. Luckily, they were back in time for this sale! For about a year and a half, I’ve been using little glass cups/candle holders with plant beads to hold my brushes, but as my collection expands, I think this will be a more practical solution.

Finally, I picked up one of their newer products, the Studio Moisturizing Lipstick ($3) in Party in the Buff. I’ve heard nothing but good things about their newest lipstick formula, and I don’t have a peachy nude lipstick like this in my arsenal. I figure it will challenge me to play up my eyes more and keep my lips subtle (but not bare, for the life of me!)

Since all of my items were eligible for the coupon, I received 50% off the entire order. I paid $20.95 total with shipping, not bad, eh? I was disappointed to find that some of their newer releases, like the Studio Blush Palettes, were out of stock. Well, knowing e.l.f., there’s bound to be another great sale again soon.

Are you planning on picking anything up?
