Fall Eyeshadow Inspiration: Rust & Glitter Concert Makeup
Over the weekend, I had the absolute pleasure of attending the iHeartRadio Music Festival here in Las Vegas. Adam and I were invited by Ulta Beauty, one of the sponsors of the event, and had a whirlwind of a weekend full of amazing music. Some of my favorite artists took the stage during the two nighttime performances and the Daytime Village fair, and you know I had to create a fun look for the occasion!
Since the festival kicked off on the first day of fall, I wanted to play around with some of the warmer tones found in the I Want Kandee palette, which I reviewed last week. I love the bronzey orange shades, so I combined them for this rusty look. Of course, I needed to be a little extra and add glitter for a pop of glam, which had me feeling all sorts of Kesha vibes.
Since my eyes were the big statement of this look, topped with some dramatic falsies, I left the rest of the face pretty neutral with soft contouring and a nude overdrawn lip. I used a ton of new-to-me products to create this look, which you can hear my thoughts on in the video at the top of the page as I get ready for the concert.

This look ended up being perfect for the festival– it wasn’t super over the top, so I was able to join Ulta Beauty for dinner on the Vegas Strip ahead of time. But when we hit the arena, I felt “done up” enough for allll the concert selfies.
The show was nothing short of amazing. I checked several performers off my concert bucket list. Pink and Coldplay made my weekend, and seeing Kesha and Miley again in such different stages of their lives was amazing.
