7 Perfect Spring Drugstore Lipsticks & Lip Glosses
When it comes to spring lipsticks, I love taking the opportunity to add more color into my look with pinks, corals and oranges. This year, I’m curating my go-to spring lipsticks and glosses by not only their shades but also how comfortable they are to wear.
The following lip picks are what I consider to be the perfect drugstore lipsticks and lip glosses for spring: from the trendy colors to the formula, you’ll love wearing them all season long!
1. Milani Color Fetish Matte Flora Lipstick in Blossom
If you prefer long-wearing matte formulas, this one’s for you! Not only does the Milani Color Fetish Matte Flora Lipstick in Blossom give a smooth, soft matte finish, but it’s actually nourishing on the lips! The formula contains hyaluronic acid and castor oil, helping them to glide onto the lips and feel balmy while you wear it. Blossom is an extremely pigmented warm fuchsia shade that leaves a stain behind, so while it’s not completely transfer-proof, you won’t see a ton of color loss throughout the day. 2. wet n wild Cloud Pout Marshmallow Lip Mousse in Fluff You
This is not your typical matte liquid lipstick! The wet n wild Clout Pout Marshmallow Lip Mousse is more of a sheer lip color, giving a blotted look that’s softer than a fully opaque lipstick. It dries down to a velvet matte finish but is far from drying. Avocado oils and vitamin E give your lips a boost of moisture, and the lightweight, moussey texture helps minimize any lines on the lips. Fluff You is a bright coral color that will make a statement for spring.
3. Pixi +Rose Lip Nourisher
The Pixi +Rose Lip Nourisher is a tinted lip balm that still offers a strong wash of color for those lighter makeup days. It only comes in the one shade, which is a blush pink, but it’s slightly sheer so your natural lip color will contribute to the end result. I love that this is fragrance free and doesn’t have a flavor, so this will be great as an everyday spring lip without getting sensory overload. It nourishes the lips with the rose-infused treatment core, and leaves a high-shine finish.
4. Wet n Wild Megalast High Shine Lipstick in Tanger-ring the Alarm
The wet n wild Megalast High-Shine Lipsticks are some of the best– and cheapest– at the drugstore at just $2.99 a pop. Infused with Murumuru Butter, Mango Butter, and Sunflower and Watermelon Seed Oils, they have a slick consistency that sinks into the lips providing long lasting moisture with intense color. Tanger-Ring The Alarm is a very wearable orange– not clowny, more fruity! Read my full review of the wet n wild MegaLast High Shine Lipsticks to see more swatches.
5. Physicians Formula Watermelon Sugar Lipgloss in Juicy
This lipgloss has a major nostalgia vibe, from the strong watermelon scent to the brush applicator! Despite feeling like a nod to glosses of the past, the Physicians Formula Watermelon Sugar Lipglosses definitely have a modern formula. They’re thick and cushy, but not sticky at all. Made with the brand’s signature butter blend of murumuru butter, cupuaçu butter, and tucuma butter, this gloss is rich in essential fatty acids and pro-vitamins that soften, condition, and moisturize the lips. Juicy is a sheer coral shade that will flatter all skin tones!
6. NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee
I have been obsessed with the NYX Butter Glosses recently, and constantly reaching for Creme Brulee because it’s such a versatile, neutral pink. It’s honestly not that far off from my natural lip shade, and matches a ton of different liners to create the ombre lip look. The NYX Butter Glosses are on the thicker side, but not sticky or heavy feeling.
7. Flower Beauty Bitten Lip Stain in Play
This one’s for date night! The Flower Beauty Bitten Lip Stain is the best stain at the drugstore, with transfer-proof color that feels completely nonexistent on the lips. It has a gel texture that dries down for long lasting color, starting sheer but easily buildable. Play is a dusty berry shade that’s not too dark, and will stay in place for whatever the night holds!
Good to hear you feel better! I haaaaave to try the e.l.f. duo, especially if you say it’s the brand’s best lippie formula.
hands down it is!!
Excellent choices! I may check out the Elf – I love pink 🙂
Monica.
It’s perfect for spring! 🙂
These shades look amazing, I tried a pink/coral lip shade and it didn’t work. Its’ one shade I can’t pull off at all. That NYX butter shade looks amazing though that I will, probably go check it out.

It’s great and you can definitely apply it more lightly than I did for a more subtle color!
