Christmas 2013 Beauty Haul

Well, folks, the holidays are finally over. I had a blast spending time with family and traveling, but I must say that I am so happy to be home for a few extra days of relaxing before I go back to work. Over the course of the gift-giving season, I got some wonderful beauty goodies as gifts! Take a look and see what I got for Christmas!

    christmas beauty haul

    1. Sheer Cover Studio 5-Piece Basic Kit
This kit comes with a concealer, highlighter, bronzing powder, mineral foundation, lengthening mascara and lash extending fibers. As a bonus it also comes with concealer, powder and angled makeup brushes. I’ve already used the concealer which I like so far and has a sort of cream-to-powder finish.

    2. J.R. Watkins Shea Butter Hand Cream in Lavender
A cult classic, I finally got my hands on this stuff (no pun intended)! This cream is very thick and moisturizing, perfect for my dry hands this season! My skin suffered a lot while traveling to drier climates, but this product is helping to heal and soothe my hands quite well.

    3. Sephora Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover Mini
I first discovered this product while traveling to Paris about five years ago. I had forgotten to pack my trusty makeup remover at the time and found a huge Sephora in the heart of the city where I picked this up. It’s still the best waterproof eye makeup remover I’ve tried to date, so I’m going to try to make this mini size last!

    4. Trader Joe’s Exfoliating Body Scrub Trio
I’ve only heard good things about skincare products from Trader Joe’s, and so I’m so excited to try these body scrubs out! This trio came with the Fuji Apple Sea Salt Scrub, the Tahitian Paradise Brown Sugar Scrub, and the Fresh Fruit Creamy Scrub.

    5. Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balm in Enticing
I admit, this was a Christmas gift to myself! I had been dying to try these new releases from Revlon, so I snatched one up when I saw a closed one at my mom’s local Rite Aid. Read my full review here.

    6. Elle Powder & Soft Angle Shadow Brushes
A thoughtful and unexpected gift from Adam’s grandma, I’m always glad to expand my brush collection. These are from Kohl’s and I remember always wondering about them when I was an employee. They are very soft, synthetic brushes that are densely packed. I’m going to need more makeup brush storage, soon!

    7. Townhouse French Vanilla Scented Bath Bombs
I love a relaxing bath, especially when using bath bombs! These bath bombs are actually pretty large, and I can probably get 6 baths out of this whole set.

    8. Burberry The Beat Eau De Parfum
This is one of my favorite perfumes! This is my second bottle, although I’m still not quite finished with the first one. It’s a sweet scent with a little bit of bite… almost like tea and cotton, if you will.

    9. Zalan Pro Color Lipsticks
I had never heard of Zalan before, yet I was still excited to receive the complete set of Pro Color Lipsticks. The set comes with a huge range of colors, and with a little research online I discovered them to be quite inexpensive. I’ll have a review up of theseΒ soon!

    10. Norwex Cleansing Cloth
This was a very intriguing stocking stuffer to receive. According to my aunt, this cloth only needs to be dampened and it will be able to remove all my makeup. I haven’t tested it out yet, but needless to say, I am very skeptical!

I am very grateful to my generous friends and family whom I exchanged gifts with this year! What was your favorite holiday present to receive?

Oh, and totally non-beauty related but I had to share with you: Adam’s mom got us customized M&M candies with our FACES ON THEM!!

Reminder: My laptop is out of order this week, so my posts and images might seem a bit off until I get it back! I’m blogging from my iPad and using iPhone apps to edit my pictures. It’s a lot more difficult than it sounds!

    1. I got a Norwex cleansing cloth too. We should do reviews on the same day and link each other. I haven’t used mine yet but my friend swears by the brand.

    2. Whoa, I had no idea customized M&Ms existed! Totally stealing that idea , if you don’t mind πŸ™‚ You got some great beauty goodies to play with.

    3. Cute M&Ms! I’ve love to see the review of the Zalan Pro lipsticks – the set looks great. I got Naked 3 – among other things – for Christmas and am completely overwhelmed that I haven’t even noticed the rest of the prezzies!

    4. Nice gifts. πŸ™‚ Those M&Ms are so sweet. πŸ™‚ I hope that your lappie is fixed, soon. Doing blogging from a tab and phone sounds like a royal PITA! πŸ˜›
