Spring Refresh: Statement Style, Staples & Skin Care

Well, it literally took a span of two days to go from running the heat to breaking a sweat outside here in Vegas. I canāt say Iām complaining, though. Iāve been craving Springā putting away the winter sweaters and boots, swapping them for dresses and strappy shoes.
The turn of the season makes me want to refresh a few pieces in my wardrobe and beauty routine. Iām stocking up on go-to staples, but also stepping out of the box and trying new things.
Iāve been trying to elevate my shoe game recently. The thing is, Iām totally a one-shoe-fits-all kinda girl. In the past, I would have two pairs for just about everything: black flats, and nude pumps. But life is way too short for boring shoes. Iām starting to try out statement shoes that will actually add to my outfit instead of being a supporting role.
Iāve been loving Badgley Mischka for shoes that really wow. You probably know I wore Badgley on my wedding day, so I looked back to see what their new Spring collection had to offer. I ordered these Shiloh Pointed Toe Evening Shoes in Dark Pink. I love the criss-cross strap and the glamorous gold detailing. I could honestly wear these with some skinny jeans and a nice blouse to bring it into the daytime for effortless style as well. Itās hard to find pointed toe shoes that donāt cramp, but these actually fit really well. A splurge well made, Iāll be getting a ton of use out of these over the next few Spring seasons!
Just like shoes, Iāve been pretty set-in-my-ways when it comes to sunglasses. Iāve had the same pair for nearly nine yearsā¦ but in this case, they donāt actually match quite everything. I wanted fashion eyewear for when I want to be a little more dressy than the standard thick black frames. I love these big Cat-Eye Sunglasses from Zenni Eyewear that have a super mod look and can be worn both casually and a little more dressed up. I like the smokey color that fades into clear frames at the bottom. Theyāre really lightweight and comfortable, so I have no problem wearing them out for a day in the sun. You can actually add your prescription to these through the Zenni website really affordably, but I didnāt need to.
When Iām not in the sun, Iām mostly in front of a computer. Iām basically looking at a screen for about twelve hours a dayā¦ even at the gym! I was really excited to find out they have blue blocking glasses, which help prevent eye strain from screens. Iāve used similar glasses in the past that have really helped keep mid-day headaches awayā¦ but the Zenni Beyond UV Blue Blockers were a cut above. They hardly have any color distortion, which is super important when youāre doing things like editing Instagram photos. At first, I was actually skeptical that they were doing anything at all because I couldnāt visibly SEE the difference, but I could definitely feel it.
I have been in desperate need of new brasā most of mine are years old and donāt quite fit right anymore. Instead of overhauling my entire collection, however, I thought it smarter to add one multiway bra to the mix. The BALI One Smooth U Strapless Multiway Underwire Bra lets you wear the straps 8 ways (or not at all) to make it the most versatile bra youāll own. It also has no-slip technology thatās super important if you are going straplessā no tugging required! I love the shape of this bra and how it contours to my body, plus itās smooth under clothing. This is one of my new fave bras because itās so comfortable and I can wear it with basically everything.
I always preach switching up your skin care routine for Spring. There are a ton of new products Iām testing out, but I actually re-discovered an old favorite: The Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm. I first tried this cleansing balm almost exactly two years ago as part of their Discovery Collection, and loved how it melted off my most full-coverage makeup. I especially appreciate it now that I live in the desert and need more moisturizing products in my life. The balm dissolves into an oil that clears your pores and leaves your skin super soft. You hardly need any to get your whole face makeup and dirt-free. I also tried out their Retinol Supreme Night Oil, which Iām hoping helps keep my breakouts under control. The stabilized retinol helps encourage healthy skin renewal while the Vitamin C helps counteract environmental toxins. Since itās another oil, I usually donāt use this and the cleansing balm on the same night because my combo skin would be overloaded. These are both definitely splurge skin care times that I wouldnāt (or canāt, rather) repurchase over and over, but theyāre really nice treats that I keep on my wishlist and track during sales. You can actually get 20% off anything at Colleen Rothschild from now til the end of 2018 with the code SLASHED20!
Finally, I’ve been all about the highlights lately. I had never heard of Erinās Faces before this month, but they are a cruelty-free and vegan beauty brand and their Magic Dust isā¦ well, magic. Itās a loose highlighter that can be used on the face or body and really adds a glowing pop to your look. I will say though, the packaging can make it super messy so use with caution or your vanity will be poppin! I usually don’t like a lot of sparkle in my makeup, but even I can’t deny how gorgeous this is. Itās a game changer to get that real strobing effect in photos. You can get 10% off with code MAGICDUST through the end of April 2018.
These new additions to my spring style and beauty routines have kept me feeling fresh and ready for what the season has in store!

Thanks so much Miranda! Love the highlighter on you! xoxo
I love those shoes on you!
My shoe game is so lame and bland. Sneakers, flats….sneakers…flats. I struggle with heals so I have to keep the flats interesting and fun. š
Your new shoes are fabulous! I love shoes as well although it’s not easy finding those that fit my feet +high arches, at least comfortably.
That top is so cute on you!
I love those shoes. I miss the days when I could actually walk in heels rather than wobble in them. These would have been perfect. Grat items in this post.
