Soft Plum Smoky Eye Shadow Tutorial

Smoky eyes and purple shades are two of my favorite ways to play up my brown eyes. Together they create a beautiful look that incorporates color, but is soft enough to pull off anywhere.

I recently got my hands on the brand new Kat Von D Shade & Light Eye Contour Quad in Plum, and despite only having four shades inside, it’s quite versatile! Out of all the looks I’ve done with these four soft purple shades, I’ve been wearing this plum smoky eye look the most.

I love that the quad contains all mattes, and a range of shades with enough contrast to create several full looks with just the four shades. They do tend to be a bit powdery, but using a good base or primer will help the color stand out and stay put. The texture does make them perfect for blending out for smoky eye looks, though.
