Physicians Formula Butter Collection x Weylie Hoang Palette Review
Sponsored by Physicians Formula. All opinions my own.
Just when we thought the Physicians Formula Butter products couldn’t get better, they bring us a product that is immediately claiming a spot in my daily routine! The new Butter Collection x Weylie Hoang collaboration gives us six beautiful Butter products in one convenient palette, delivering all the possibilities for a full sun-kissed face look. I’m not familiar with Weylie’s content, but I’m loving her for the design of this palette.
The Physicians Formula Butter Collection x Weylie Hoang Palette ($14.99) is everything I’ve wanted from the brand. Inside you’ll find two exclusive Butter Highlighters, two exclusive Butter Blushes and two Butter Bronzers. I’d say the collection of shades is appropriate for light to medium tan skin. I’m loving what the brand did this time around with the actual packaging. This palette is super travel-friendly in size, unlike their past Butter palette. I’m 100% going to be traveling with this next week!
If you’re unfamiliar with the Butter products from Physicians Formula, let me fill you in. These are creamy powders that blend onto the skin like a dream. With a formula that contains hydrating ingredients like Murumuru Butter, Cupuacu Butter and Tacoma Butter, you get a silky feel (never dry or powdery) and a smooth finish. The Butter collection has a signature scent that reminds me of vacation— sort of an earthy sweetness.
As you can see from the above swatches, we get a ton of pigment in these beautiful Butter powders. You can definitely bring the drama, but they’re easy to sheer out for a more natural effect as well. I love the versatility of these products so that I can go from no-makeup makeup to full on glam in a snap.
Now, there’s something I do want to point out about this palette that threw me off a bit. The two Butter Bronzers in this palette are supposed to be currently existing shades, the same ones you can buy as individuals. I currently use the single Butter Bronzer in “Deep Bronzer” to contour practically every other day. I noticed immediately that the Deep Bronzer within the Weylie palette was drastically different— both warmer in tone and with a slight sheen/shimmer to it. Personally, I wouldn’t use this version of Deep to contour with as I want something matte that imitates a natural shadow to shape the face. Funny enough, the Sunset Bronzer is more my speed and while still slightly warm, I can definitely use this for a summery contour.
You get so much versatility with this palette and I do appreciate the range of shades provided. As we currently transition between seasons, Wildflower is my go-to blush of choice with the looks I’m wearing. However, Apricot is the perfect spring blush shade for something brighter and fresher. Above, I used the Sunset Bronzer as my contour shade, the Apricot blush, the Golden Hour highlighter and the palette’s version of Deep Bronzer to warm up around my hairline.

That is such a gorgeous palette!
I think it’s a good palette for any makeup lovers
Gorgeous, wearable shades – they look so good on you!
That looks like a really practical face palette. The look on your skintone is amazing!
These are beautiful colors on you. A fresh look. I just wish that PF wouldn’t scent their products. I know many people love them because of the scent but it drives me bonkers. It’s a shame for me.
Golden Hour really caught my eye! So pretty! I need to learn how to control, I only know how to highlight.
It is PERFECT for my yellow undertones!
These are great colors! I’ll have to check it out.
