Inside the Physicians Formula Rosé All Day Collection Box Set
This post is sponsored by Physicians Formula, but all opinions are my own.
This spring, it’s all about roses— I’m talking the new Physicians Formula Rosé collection, which is seriously giving the Butter products a run for their money. I’ve chatted about the Rosé skin care that launched last year a few times, and the Rosé All Day to Night Eye Cream is still a staple in my routine! Now, the line has expanded into makeup and I’m all about it.
My first experience with the new Rosé makeup is the Rosé All Day x Exterior Glam Collection box set. It includes a little taste of everything, and enough for nearly a full face of makeup. Inside you’ll find the Rosé All Day Petal Glow Highlighter in Freshly Picked, the Rosé All Day Blush in the exclusive shade Alea, four exclusive Rosé All Play eyeshadows, the Rosé Kiss All Day Lip Color in Kiss Me, plus the line’s signature scent in a travel-sized spray.
I’ll be the first to admit, I’m usually not a big fan of rose fragrance. Most of the time, it translates as too heavy and old lady-ish to me. However, this collection smells fresh and light, perfect for spring. And these products don’t just smell like rose, but they harness the benefits of skin-soothing and calming rose water, as well as the antioxidants from Kakadu Plum!
All of the powder products look so smooth on the skin and feel good— never dry or powdery. I was really surprised in particular with the highlight and eyeshadows. The Rosé highlighter may even trump the Butter highlighter for me, since it gives off such a high-impact with the slight touch of a brush. The eyeshadows are soft and pigmented, and I could not get over the shade Poppin’. A rich deep red that adds gorgeous drama to the eyes. Because of the texture, you will most definitely experience kickback in the palette, so dip your brush in lightly to avoid mess. When applying to the eyes, packing on color in a patting motion will help minimize fallout onto the face.
After trying the Rosé Kiss All Day Lip Color, I’m definitely going to need the other shades sold separately. The Kiss Me shade matches really well with the blush in this palette, and is a peachy coral. It glides on with a moisturizing feel and buildable color.
As far as the packaging, while I admit it’s slightly bulky, I’m more forgiving since the box set includes so much of a routine inside. When traveling, I wouldn’t have to pack much more than this to finish my look.
Exclusively available at Ulta Beauty for $19.95, as well as the brand’s website, this is a great value to dip into the new collection and try a bunch of newness at once. Most of these products are available as stand-alone products in other shades such as the highlighter, eyeshadow and lip color, so you can grab your favorites or more shades as you fall in love with the collection.
