Classic Bridal Makeup Makeover
I don’t consider myself a makeup artist. I’m more of a makeup connoisseur; I’m passionate about beauty products and their application, but I’ve never gone to cosmetology classes (outside of the makeup classes at Sephora lol). But when my good friend Paige asked me to do her makeup for the most important day ever, her wedding, I couldn’t say no.
Paige and I were in choir together in high school, and funny enough, I also did her prom makeup. I was honored that she asked me to be a part of her special day, and an important part, too! If I said I wasn’t nervous, I’d be lying. Wedding pictures last forever, and while Paige has always been gorgeous, I wanted to make sure she’d be wearing a look she’d love years from now, and look great on camera.
Paige doesn’t wear a lot of makeup on the daily— at the most, just face powder, liner and mascara. Her and her fiancee wanted to see her features accentuated, but nothing over the top that wouldn’t look like herself. So, we went with this classic and timeless look that brought out her natural beauty while adding that special flair to make her feel special and extra beautiful.
The eyes were kept neutral, using a light beige on the lid and a bronzer in her crease for dimension, and only a touch of shimmer in the middle of the lid. Paige really wanted a winged liner, which took me forever to master since I’m not used to doing it on other people, but we got it down on the first try on the big day! We enhanced her already mile-long lashes with just one individual lash in the outer corner of each eye.
The products we used were a mix of drugstore and high end, because I didn’t want to cut any corners. Check out what products I used to create the look:
