Two New Nighttime Routine Beauty Must Haves from Neutrogena

I was compensated for this shop by Collective Bias, Inc. on behalf of Neutrogena for this #NewNeutrogena campaign #AD #Collectivebias. All opinions are mine alone.

The no-makeup makeup look is bigger than ever this season, and we all know that the foundation of the trend is good skin care.

Neutrogena products have always had a place on my face: from their Healthy Skin Liquid Makeup being my holy grail foundation, to their On-The-Spot Acne Treatment for my stubborn blemishes. Among their many spring releases are two exciting new skin care products I picked up at Target that I’ve been using to keep my face fresh, hydrated, and looking radiant.

Neutrogena’s original makeup remover wipes are go-tos for me, since they are one of the few types of towelettes that don’t irritate my skin. I’m excited that the brand has released their newest version from their Naturals line. Made with Peruvian Tara Seed bionutrient, the Neutrogena Naturals Purifying Makeup Remover Cleansing Towelettes ($6.99) can remove dirt, oil and makeup easily. One thing I noticed about these is that they seem less saturated with makeup remover than the original wipes. I actually like this, since it feels like they are actually picking up my makeup instead of smearing it around my face. They’re very soft and have a fresh scent to them.

The Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel ($17.99) was originally released overseas in Asian countries, and I was excited to see it make its way to the states. This gel moisturizer is great as we move into spring, because it’s weightless but offers a wash of hydration. The thin formula sinks into your skin rapidly and leaves it smooth without leaving residue. It contains hyaluronic acid, which is a molecule found naturally in the body that binds water to provide moisture and firmness to the skin. The gel is oil-free and non-comedogenic so you don’t have to worry about it clogging your pores and will work for most skin types.

I prefer taking my showers as part of my nightly routine (and I seriously do not understand morning shower-ers), so I’ll start off by taking all of my makeup off with the cleansing towelettes. Check out how much one wipe picks up!

I normally rinse my face in the shower, and by the time I come out, my skin is in some dire need of moisture! I hardly need any of the Hydro Boost Water Gel to cover my entire face. It’s so refreshing and even though it’s incredibly dry right now in California, this keeps my skin moisturized through the night.

  1. I definitely want to try that face gel! It sounds amazing! I’ve heard other good reviews too. And I like morning showers haha! But I’m not a person, so I like them to help wake up. But I like evening baths to relax (when I can).

  2. I haven’t added anything new to my night time routine. When it comes to skin care I tend to stick with what works as I’m a bit older and I don’t have time for breakouts.

  3. The water gel sounds amazing! I’m a night-showerer too. How can anyone sleep without showering off the day-grime and fatigue LOL!

  4. Like cat vs dog people, when we shower separates the wheat from the chaff! Kumbaya, people! Lol. I like gel moisturizers, so this one looks interesting!

  5. I was totally eyeing this at Target just yesterday! The term “water gel” is just intriguing! Plus, I love me some hyaluronic acid! I’m also ALL about the night shower!

    1. You have permanently gained my trust, fellow night showerer! πŸ™‚ The water gel is just that! It’s so light that once it sinks in, it hardly feels like there’s any product at all, but it moisturizes just as well as a cream!

  6. Neutrogena makeup removal wipes are a staple for me. I usually stock up whenever they’re on sale. I need to try that moisturizer.

  7. Amen to dry skin after the shower! I swear, if I don’t slather on some moisturizer right away, my cheeks will be tight and tingling in no time.

  8. I like Neutrogena makeup remover wipes. And I am a gel moisturizer fanatic. I use Hada Labo Tokyo’s Skin Plumping Gel. Glad to see that Neutrogena got on the bandwagon!
