Review & Swatches: Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow
Meet the latest and greatest in drugstore eyeshadows: the Milani Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadow collection. 30 highly-pigmented and super soft shades that can be worn wet or dry, these eyeshadows have knocked my socks off!
There are a great range of shades, from neutral to bold pops of color, and they’re all well pigmented. At first, I was confused by the whole “gel powder formula” deal. From what I’ve now gathered, it seems that during the actual formulation, the eyeshadows start out as gel, and then are transformed into powder. What we are left with is a velvety smooth, blendable shadow that will hold up for the busiest of ladies.
Revel in all of the shades:
The Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadows are supposed to deliver intense color when applied both wet and dry. I put this to the test in my live swatch video. Watch it to get a closer look at how each shade performs.

With primer, these shadows last all day on me, looking as smooth, colorful, and crease-free as when I first apply them in the morning. A few of the lighter satin-matte shades are on the sheerer side— these I would use for blending. I love using my finger to apply these for the most opaque color pay off, but they do apply (and blend) pretty effortlessly using a brush.
As you can see in the video, some of them are amplified when applied wet, while others leave much to be desired. Even though some look pretty cool and metallic when applied with a damp brush, I just find them easier to work with while dry.
The Bella Eyes Gel Powder Eyeshadows are selling for $3.99, and have been slowly rolling out into drugstores nationwide. They are currently available on Milani’s website.

Love Bella sand and pink
Omygosh, that video was really great! Can’t thank you enough for taking the time to do that for each color! I’m in love with these, and this helped me to know which colors are for me. Thanks!! Do you know if the colors last or fade?
Most of the colors will last you all day with primer. The ones that are matte finishes fade slightly if they have been blended out, but overall they have great lasting power!
Beautiful! I’m a big fan of the purples, blues and greens. I’ll have to stalk my local Walgreens and Duane Reade to see if thee have shown up yet!
I’m definitely loving the brights they included for a collection released so close to fall. It’s such a drugstore anomaly with the quality and selection. Loving them!
