5 Best Honest Beauty Products
Over the past year or so, I’ve become a big fan of Honest Beauty. Created by actress Jessica Alba, Honest is a clean beauty brand that offers natural and organic products at the drugstore. Before I started using Honest Beauty, I had a pretty negative impression of natural makeup… because it was usually expensive and never really worked well for me. This brand changed my mind, and I want to share what I consider the five best Honest Beauty products.
1. Honest Beauty Liquid Lipsticks ($14.99)
I’ve done a full in-depth review of these liquid lipsticks with watches in this post. These are super pigmented, and apply extremely smoothly over the lips. The finish is demi-matte and super comfortable to wear all day, thanks to the hyaluronic acid and avocado oil in the formula. While they’re not entirely transfer-proof, the color does las a surprisingly long time, even after eating and drinking.
2. Honest Beauty Extreme Length Mascara + Lash Primer ($16.99)
This is my newest discovery from the brand, and I’m downright hooked. I’ve always been a fan of using a lash primer to really boost mascara results, and I love this 2-in-1 product for ease and convenience. The before and after speaks for itself. This duo really lengthens, lifts, and volumes my lashes for a dramatic look without the fuss of falsies. I personally have pretty short and straight lashes, and this product totally transforms them!
3. Honest Beauty Creme Cheek Blush ($12.99)
This is my most used product from Honest. The Creme Cheek Blushes are so easy to blend onto the skin for a pop of color. You can apply lightly for a sheer wash, or build up easily for more pigmentation. You get a glowy, slightly dewy finish that makes the skin look healthy and bouncy, and the color lasts all day. The above shades are Coral Peach and Rose Pink.
4. Honest Beauty Magic Beauty Balm ($12.99)
I really like having this on hand for all sorts of moisturizing purposes. I use it as a lip primer mostly, applying before a matte liquid lipstick to provide deep hydration. I also often rub it into my cuticles to keep them healthy and soft. It’s available in both a compact and stick form, and I’ll admit I do prefer the stick for convenience.
5. Honest Beauty Invisible Blurring Loose Powder ($19.99)
This setting powder is definitely up there as one of the best at the drugstore. Firstly, I absolutely love the packaging. The mesh sifter is mess-free, and helps your brush grab on to just the right amount of product. The powder is fine and helps mattify your makeup, combat shine, all while giving your skin an incredibly smooth finish. It’s not my favorite for the baking technique, but it’s perfect for an all over dusting.
