4 Must-Have CBD Products that I Can’t Live Without
CBD has taken the world by storm as a “wonder ingredient” in beauty and personal care items. It’s become wildly popular in the past couple years for its multiple benefits such as helping to relieve anxiety, insomnia, joint pain and inflammation (Source).
I’ll admit, I was a bit of a skeptic when it first came on the scene, but I became a fan after trying and loving several CBD products that quickly became must-haves.
Keep reading to discover my favorite CBD products— from skin care to work out essentials!
1. Beam CBD Oil ($60-$150)
This was the first CBD oil (and product, for that matter) I’d ever tried, and what got me curious to try more. This is a phytocannabinoid-rich CBD oil, completely THC-free, that comes in a convenient dropper. I have the Fresh Mint flavor which is subtle and pleasant, and you can consume it straight from the dropper or mix the oil into a beverage. I’ve used this with success for several purposes— I’ll take a dropper-full dose if I feel my anxiety heighten due to stress, and I’ll start to feel more level. It’s also worked really well in tandem with pain relievers to reduce cramps faster during my period. It comes in a variety of potencies and in either Fresh Mint or Natural flavor. The price varies depending on the amount of CBD in the formula.
2. Derma E Skin De-Stress Calming CBD Moisturizer ($21.50)
Because CBD can help with inflammation, it can be beneficial for skin care products to keep your skin soothed. This moisturizer uses the powerful antioxidant benefits of CBD to reduce the appearance of redness while also helping to nourish and smooth skin texture. This moisturizer works great as a night cream— especially now with warmer weather— as it’s hydrating but not too heavy. My skin has felt pretty sensitive recently, but this moisturizer is gentle while still being very effective. My skin looks brighter and less troubled (red, puffy, dull) in the morning after wearing it overnight.
3. Pure Bloom CBD Hand Sanitizer ($14)
I’ve always been a bit of a hand sanitizer freak, even before 2020. The one downside to using it constantly is the way it dries out your skin, leaving it tight and uncomfortable. I’ve been keeping the Pure Bloom CBD Hand Sanitizer in my purse at all times recently, and there’s really nothing I don’t love about it. First of all, I love spray hand sanitizers over squeeze-bottles, because they’re way less messy and you don’t over-apply. The CBD in the formula helps soothe dehydrated skin along with the organic hemp seed oil and vegetable-derived glycerin. The Calming Citrus scent is refreshing and doesn’t stun the nose with an alcohol smell, even though it contains 80% certified organic ethyl alcohol which is hospital grade.
4. LEEF Organics Revive CBD Balm ($30)
Salve and balms are probably my favorite way to use CBD— especially after working out or hiking. Whenever I have sore muscles or joints from being active, this CBD balm helps relieve the discomfort within minutes. I’ve also used this on my lower abdomen to help with period cramps as the peony root and calendula in the formula can help calm muscle spasms and inflammation, too! I prefer this specific balm over another that I was using previously because it’s easy to spread and melts into the skin quickly.
