The 5 Best Full Coverage Concealers for Every Budget
Updated for 2021.
Concealer: should you save or should you splurge? The truth is, there are amazing concealer options for every budget— even if you need full coverage!
Whether you’re looking for a steal or you want to try a cult favorite at a higher price, here are five of the best full coverage concealers ranging from $2 to $27!
If you want to check out the best drugstore concealers for the undereye area, watch my video here!
1. L.A. Colors Conceal It Cover & Correct Concealer ($2)
You can find this gem at discount stores like Dollar General or Family Dollar. It has a thinner consistency than the other budget options on this list, but can still cover redness and dark spots without issue. It’s very easy to blend whether you’re using a sponge, a brush, or just your fingers. I love the natural radiant finish, which just looks like a second skin— not too matte, not too shiny. A couple things I don’t like about this concealer: it’s not as long lasting as the others on this list, and will start to fade mid-day. I also don’t like the brush applicator– it’s a bit finicky when letting product out of the squeeze tube. This formula also slightly oxidizes, so the shade will slightly darken as it sets.
2. e.l.f. Hydrating Camo Concealer ($6)
This is my most-used concealer. I love the hydrating formula since the areas I use concealer most (under the eyes and around blemishes) look better under makeup when they’re moisturized. Again, the satin finish looks like skin and blends in easily with other makeup, or you can use this alone without foundation seamlessly. The full coverage looks great on all skin types and will last all day without noticeable fading or breakdown. It doesn’t settle into lines or creases in the face, which is a huge plus. Plus, it’s a vegan and cruelty-free formula with a great shade range to choose from.
3. Covergirl TruBlend Undercover Concealer ($10-12)
If you prefer a matte finish, this will be your budget pick. This creamy concealer covers dark circles and spots flawlessly. With one of the thicker textures on this list, you don’t have to worry about it sheering out as you blend. It’s most suitable for oilier skin types because of its drier feel. With 30 shades, the brand promises that this vegan and cruelty free formula will match 99% of skin tones.
4. LORAC Pro Soft Focus Longwear Concealer ($24)
Both this concealer and its corresponding foundation are high end favorites of mine, because they deliver full coverage in an imperceptibly lightweight formula. I’ve been wearing this and completely forgot I had product on my face at all. You’ll get all the coverage you need without a heavy makeup look or feel. It starts out at medium coverage but two thin layers brings you to full, no problem. This concealer has a natural finish that leans a bit more to the matte side, but won’t look dry. In fact, this concealer helps reduce the appearance of fine lines in addition to concealing unevenness. The smaller sponge wand also makes it very easy to apply onto areas like the under eye and around the nose.
5. tarte Shape Tape Concealer ($27)
This is what I’d call the Big Kahuna— it’s the standard for full coverage concealers. A tube of Shape Tape is sold every 12 seconds. People have compared the e.l.f. and Covergirl concealers on this list as dupes. Shape Tape is a cult favorite for a reason— creamy full coverage with a formula hat uses shea butter, mango seed butter and licorice root extract to help moisturize and brighten the skin while giving it a firmer look. It stays in place all day with no flaking or creasing, and sets to a silky matte (not flat) blurred finish. It’s vegan, cruelty free, with 30 shade options.
[e.l.f. Hydrating Camo Concealer ($6)] this concealer is very nice and quite affordable. i will love to get it for my sister. thanks alot for this great content .

The Shephora one is great, and it actually has really fair shades. I was able to find a match. It sticks to my oily skin, too. Double-win!
Same!! Yeah, I’m surprised with the vast selection of their concealers!
