4 Best Skin Care Treats from Pixi Other than Glow Tonic
If there’s one thing that Pixi does right, it’s skin care that delivers a glowing and even complexion. You’ve probably heard me rave about their Glow Tonic, which has been a staple in my skin care routine for five years now. It’s a cult favorite of the brand, and most people I know who have tried it end up swearing by it. But there are so many other great skincare products from the brand that I think deserve the same attention!
The Vitamin Wakeup Mist ($15) is always within arm’s reach— I keep it on my desk alongside my hand cream for daily use! The mist contains orange blossom water blended with citrus fruit extracts, lavender, and arginine to strengthen and tone the skin while adding hydration and protection. I use it in a variety of ways, and even more so during this dry winter weather. I love spritzing it on after cleansing in the morning, before a heavier moisturizer for an extra layer of moisture. It’s also perfect to use as a post-workout refresher as it cools the skin. What I use this mist the most for, though, is giving a more natural finish to matte foundations. If I have a matte foundation that tends to look too dry or crackly once set, I’ll lightly mist it over my face to bring a bit more radiance back into the look. Plus, it gives one last boost of hydration for the day to keep my skin feeling comfortable and looking healthy.
I’ve been a huge fan of the brand’s H2O SkinTint tinted moisture for years, and honestly had no idea until recently that there’s a colorless version just for the moisture alone! The H2O SkinDrink ($22) is a gel that cools and refreshes as it quickly sinks into thirsty skin. It’s lightweight but instantly makes the skin feel rehydrated and plump. The formula features green tea, aloe vera and rosemary to help protect and heal irritated skin, which you all know I’ve been dealing with this season. I use this as a morning moisturizer (I prefer something heavier at night) and it feels even better when you leave it in the fridge before use! The chilliness helps depuff tired skin in a snap. It doesn’t leave any residue behind, so it’s perfect for using before makeup.
Face masks are a weekly ritual in my house. The Glow O2 Oxygen Mask ($24) is one of those trendy bubble masks that will foam up as it sits on your face… but this one isn’t all gimmick. It’s made with oxygen complex, vitamins, ginseng, caffeine and antioxidants to replenish the skin, probiotic lactococcus ferment lysate to strengthen the skin, and lactic acid to detoxify. That’s a mouthful, but this mask is chalk full of skin-loving ingredients to help transform dull skin. It helps clear up blackheads and breakouts, and gives you a brighter and smooth complexion. I was dealing with a lot of small bumps on my face near my driest areas and this helped even everything out really quickly!
Finally, the Rose Flash Balm ($24) is a multi-use product that gives instant results! You can use it as a moisturizer, a mask, or a makeup primer and it will deliver a radiant look and hydrated feel. It’s oil-free, great for all skin types. As a primer, use a thin layer evenly to the face and neck. For mask application, use a thicker layer and let it sit for 10-15 minutes to revitalize, hydrate and soothe the skin. The balm is infused with rose water that is rich in antioxidants, rose extract that helps calm redness and soothe the skin, plus olive leaf extract that nourishes.
In my opinion, Pixi is the closest you can get to high-end skincare at the drugstore. Their products not only have a luxury feel, but I’ve never met one that didn’t do what it was supposed to do. You can check out more of their products on their website, or at Target.
I haven’t tried any of these Pixi products! They also have a lip product that offers some exfoliation with the silicone tip. I use it year round, and it’s one of the only things that keeps my lips from suffering when I end up sick with a respiratory infection.
I looooooove Pixi! Their skincare is great.
I like using the Rose Flash Balm as a mask. I have to try the Vitamin Wakeup Mist next.
These sound like good options for summer skin, not too heavy!
I’ve still not tried anything of theirs but this all sounds really nice! Maybe Ill have to try some!
I love Pixi. I sooooo wanna try all the new stuff that is coming out!
That wake up mist sounds divine! I love any mist that can perk up my dry skin during the day.
I looove it for my dry climate.
I hear a lot about glow tonic so this post was super helpful with the other products they have.
The Vitamin Wakeup Mist sounds divine!
Pixi always amazes me. Their skincare (Skintreats) are top notch. I don’t always trust brands that start with cosmetics and then go to skincare but Pixi has convinced me. My favorite skincare product from them is their Peel & Polish. I keep it in my shower so that I won’t forget to use it.
I have about a thousand items from this line on my list to pick up when my no buy from hell is over.
