Your New Favorite Pants: The Elephant Pants
It’s very rare— extremely, super rare— that I become incredibly loyal to one particular clothing brand. But I’ve completely fallen head over heels for The Elephant Pants and I’m here to tell you why.
It all started this past summer when moving to Las Vegas. Temperatures were climbing and I was in desperate need of lightweight, flowy clothing for lounging around in. I stumbled upon The Elephant Pants and knew I had to try some on. Their main line of pants are made with bold patterns in a Harem pant style, with elastic waistbands and ankles. I thought they looked so comfortable, and I was so right.
I have four pairs that I switch between, and even more on my holiday wishlist. The Black Diamond Harem Pants were my first pair— they’re made form an extremely lightweight fabric that’s breathable and comfortable in any climate. I like that while they’re baggy and flowy, the elastic at the ankle keeps them from dragging on the floor. I started wearing these everywhere as soon as I got them— to lounge around at home in, and to go run errands. Adam literally had to remind me that I should probably wash them before wearing them again.
From then, my obsession was born. I purchased another pair during a sale one day so I could have two to rotate between. Of course that wasn’t enough, and now I’m up to four— my latest pair being the Kihari Gray Yoga Pants which have a slightly different shape and weight to them. The fabric is a little heavier but extremely soft and comfy. You still get that fun elephant print in the visible pocket lining, and these are great for both lounging or exercising due to the slimmer fit!
I wear my Elephant Pants any chance I get… I’m trying to build a collection so I have one for every day of the week. I can throw a tank on and just lay around the house in them, but I can also dress them up with a jean jacket and boots to incorporate them into a casual look, too. My most colorful pair are the Nellie Black Harem Pants, which I usually pair with whites or light neutrals.
The very best part of the brand however, and the reason I have been so happy to support them, is that they donate 10% to save elephants around the world. They maintain partnerships with organizations that help create a sustainable future where elephants can thrive. Their current partner is Tusk https://tusk.org, which has a mission to end poaching, protect habitats, and also investing in community conservation in Africa. Did you know that 1 elephant is lost every 15 minutes due to poaching for ivory? It’s a real problem, which could lead to a world without wild elephants by 2025. I love that The Elephant Pants does their part, while also delivering a quality product at a reasonable price. The pants, and their other clothing and accessories, run between just $18-$33 and they’re constantly having great sales!
Especially as we head further into fall and winter, I promise you won’t regret grabbing a pair of Elephant Pants (or adding them to your wish list). They’re so perfect for this cuddle weather! Check them out on their website.
The same pants are readily available in Thailand too for cheaper than this website is offering. They are really cosy and snug you’re right.
