My First Love Shaving Cream: Pure Silk
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Pure Silk Shave Cream. All opinions are 100% mine.
Do you ever look back on your past beauty routines growing up and totally cringe? Whether you have pictures to look back on as proof or not, we all know our beauty regrets. One of mine: using water for shaving my legs! I’m sure you shuddered at that sentence as much as I did.
Of course, when I finally wised up and started using shaving cream, I knew I had been doing it wrong this whole time. One of the very first shaving creams I remember using is Pure Silk Shave Cream— since they came in a variety of delicious and soothing scents, and were so affordable in all my favorite drugstores.
The Pure Silk Shave Cream is incredibly rich and moisturizing, with a big fluffy foam that prevents nicks and cuts better than gel or soap and water. It’s super easy to lather and you only need a little to spread over large areas, so the 8oz can will last you a good while. I like using the Sensitive Skin Therapy can, since it is extra kind to my skin, leaving my legs totally soft and smooth for days. But, with such a large choice between scents, you’re bound to find something you like.
Using the right shaving cream is so pivotal in getting the best shave every time. When you shave, you’re giving your legs a pretty intense exfoliation as you get rid of body hair. Sensitive skin or not, you have to make sure that you’re giving some protection along with moisture and soothing ingredients to ward off irritation. My favorite scent is infused with aloe, papaya, thyme and willow bark to give me a comfortably close shave while nourishing the skin. Paired with a clean razor, I get a perfect shave.
Years after my first experiences shaving, Pure Silk is still one of my go-tos because, simply, it works, it’s easy to find, and easy on the pocketbook!
Contains butane
Haha, you’re not alone! I did crazy things back in the day when it comes to shaving!
I’m going to try my first ever self tan so I’ll need this. I hope to get to CVS tomorrow. Sadly I tossed the coupons from Red Plum
Awesome price!
Time for a CVS trip! I shave less often now, being lazy, so I need a little help thatching these thick hairs. A great shave cream is key!
Thanks for the review and tips! I am so getting this at CVS ASAP
