Solving Deodorant Stains, Residue & Other Summer Problems

We still have several solid months of heat here in Nevada, which means my summer wardrobe is being maximized. That also means that deodorant is essential to staying fresh and comfortable in the high temperatures.

I’ve sorta kinda definitely had it with traditional deodorants though. Gels irritate my skin, and most sticks I’ve tried leave behind visible residue or a sticky feeling. More importantly, I get so self-conscious of my deodorant transferring, or body odor being more noticeable when I’m wearing summer outfits that are sleeveless. I want to make a statement, but the good kind…

Invisible sprays have been part of my routine for the past couple years, but they’re definitely having a moment to shine this season. Last month, I spotted the new Secret Invisible Sprays at Target and they’ve been a staple ever since. This deodorant option is convenient, has amazing scents and lasts- solving all my summer deodorant problems in one spray.

While the 105+ degree weather has been pretty daunting here, we’re still making a point to get outside and be active… whether that means our weekly game of ultimate frisbee with our neighbors, or just an after dinner walking date. We’ve also hosted a couple of neighborhood barbecues, which can really get the sweat dripping when you’re in front of the grill. All the while, I want to be sure I’m making a good impression, which the Secret Invisible Spray helps me to achieve with a fresh scent that lasts up to 48 hours.

Sometimes we all experience a little β€œnose blindness,” which is when your nose gets used to scents you smell every day. The Secret Invisible Sprays have two proprietary technologies that keep your scent receptors in the nose open, so you can smell it working all day long leaving you feeling fresh and protected. I never have to sneak those embarrassing pit-checks. While I’ve never felt a dire need to touch up throughout the day- since the scent lasts all day- the bottle is easy to keep in my purse for on-the-go application. Plus, using the spray in public is a lot less weird than putting on stick deodorant in front of people. My favorite scent has been the Glam Grapefruit; it has a sweet citrus fragrance that I actually want people to smell on me.

And yes, the spray is truly invisible. Especially when I’m wearing my favorite strappy romper, I don’t want any visible residue left behind. I’m spraying it on myself in the picture above and you can see that… well, you can’t see anything actually. That’s the point. The Invisible Spray is also really convenient for armpit-adjacent areas we tend to sweat- I’m talking underboob. Especially in this romper, where I can’t really wear a bra, this spray is a lifesaver to keeping me comfortable. I’ve used it for casual summer days socializing, but also long outdoor events like concerts downtown where I need all the help I can get when it comes to prolonging the feeling of being clean and comfortable.

Please, check out the Secret Invisible Sprays on your next Target run. There are four scent options for any taste, and I bet one will end up being a staple in your routine, too.

  1. My husband actually is the one in the family that likes sprays but these are too girly for the big guy! Grapefruit does sound interesting.

  2. Is it strange that I find the spray much more comfortable on my super sensitive to apply? These scents sound amazing and I love that it’s invisible!

  3. I picked one of these up at my local Wal Mart last week and it smells so good, and it really works great too!

  4. I’m not a fan of sprays because some of them leave white residue on my skin, but it seems that these might work for me.
