Bringing the Twist Back: Conair Quick Twist
It’s no secret that everything 90s related is making its way back full circle into today’s fashion, and this gadget is just another testament to that. It brings me right back to my childhood, when all my friends were wearing twists in their hair, but I was just not coordinated enough to make them pretty on my own. Well, better late than never because the Conair Quick Twist is letting me incorporate all the rope braids I want into any hairstyle, just in time to hop on the trend.
The Conair Quick Twist is awesome for 90s kids or modern day fashionistas that want to add a twist to your favorite styles. Braids and twists are definitely having a moment, as seen in the latest runway shows, so these styles aren’t just for girls anymore. The tool turns two strands of hair into a rope braid quickly with a touch of a button and flick of the wrist. It’s easy enough for a kid to use, making it a great gift, but twists are versatile and can be added to any timeless hairstyle. Let me show you how I work it into one of my every day ‘dos.
To start, you take a 2-inch section of hair split in half, and place tightly in the clasps on both sides of the Quick Twist. Make sure to comb through hair beforehand to remove any tangles for a smooth twist! Pushing up the on purple button will twist both of the strands in the same direction in place. Finally, release the button once each piece of hair is fully twisted and rotate the entire gadget in the direction of the arrow on the Quick Twist to combine the two twists into one rope braid and secure with an elastic.
These totally channel my inner Lizzie McGuire, am I right? For a quick and cute hairstyle, I’ll make two twists on one side of my hair for an asymmetrical look. One of my favorite ways to wear the twists, though, is to incorporate them into a bun so it looks like I put WAY more effort in than just throwing my hair in a knot for work, a night out, or even a special event if I’m really crunched for time.
I’ve always loved how twists look in hairstyles, and the Conair Quick Twist makes it really easy to get them looking perfect. Especially for those with long hair, which takes forever to do these types of braids, this makes it pretty painless.
The best part: The Conair Quick Twist is only $19.99, making it a perfect affordable gift for someone you know or an inexpensive treat for yourself!

ohhhhh my God I remember thissssss lol I’m giggling with the nostalgia. I totally need to pick one up for my daughter!
That hairdo with the bun and the twists is so cute. I think Grav3yard Girl did a video of this (or a similar tool) that is quite amusing!
