5 New Budget Friendly Makeup Brushes to Pick Up from Walmart
This post is sponsored by Lunchbox with product provided by Paris Presents. All opinions are my own.
Some people would argue that your makeup brushes will make or break the performance of your products. I am one of those people. I don’t feel bad about splurging on expensive brushes, because I know with proper care, they’ll last a long time and help me get the most out of my makeup. But you guys, it’s really awesome when you find great brushes on the cheap.
There are a select few brands I trust to deliver quality brushes at budget friendly prices. A couple of them being Real Techniques and EcoTools, which I’m excited to let you know are both now available at Walmart, making them more accessible than ever. Joining them is Walmart’s exclusive beauty tool brand: Essential Tools. They’re all responsible for some fab new brushes on the makeup scene; read on to take a closer look!
Real Techniques Sculpting Brush ($9.98)
I’ve talked about various favorites from Real Techniques before, but here’s a new one: the Sculpting Brush, which I’ve been using for blush and bronzer. The angled shape makes it easy to work under and on top of the cheek bones, and the bristles are dense and fluffy as per usual with the brand. Real Techniques brushes are comparable to a lot of high-end brands with their quality, and even advanced makeup enthusiasts can get on board with how well they work.
EcoTools Complexion Collection Mattifying Finish Makeup Brush ($8.98)
EcoTools is an amazing eco-friendly brand that makes brushes for the environmentally conscious makeup lover! I’ve been using their Complexion Collection Mattifying Finish Makeup Brush to set my makeup with loose powder, and love how easy it is. The brush has a flat shape that makes pressing and blending powder a breeze. The bristles are super soft, and the bamboo handle is not only stylish but sturdy– a good sign that this brush will hold up through the years.
Essential Tools Step 2 Eyes Every Day Eye Makeup Brush Set ($5.98)
The Essental Tools line is targeted more towards tweens, teens, and makeup beginners, but still have some good lightweight staple brushes in the collection. In particular, the Step 2 Eyes Everyday Eye Makeup Brush Set has three must-have eye brushes: an angled shadow brush, a large shadow brush, and an angled liner brush. The flexible angled shadow brush works well to place eyeshadow into the crease and blend out. The large shadow brush, which is your typical flat shader brush, is dense and can pack color onto the lids. The angled liner brush makes applying gel liner way easier, since you can basically hold it like a pen and get the product right up against the lash line; I love using it for winged liner!
It’s always nice to find products that perform well on a dime… but it’s even better to get them for free, no? Check out the giveaway below to win these brushes in a beauty basket, and a $100 Walmart Gift Card!
These look awesome! I’m not really big on the bent eyeliner brushes, but the rest I love and need to pick up!
i love all my RT brushes – affordable but amazing quality!
Ecotools are so nice! I love RT as well. It’s wonderful to have a post to reference on quality makeup brushes that are affordable!
I fricking love Eco Tools. Low budget awesome brushes have me all ears.
I love Ecotools, Real Techniques and Sonia Kashuk
ECOTOOL!! Love them!!
I love ecotools.
When makeup brushes can run the gambit of prices, it’s nice to find a review that highlights those that are reasonably priced. Some of my lesser expensive makeup brushes perform just as well as my higher-end ones. Thanks for sharing this info. 🙂
Same! I do have a few higher end, namely It Cosmetics brushes, that are just the BEES KNEES but most of my collection is affordable and still just as great.
I do admit to having a few expensive brushes that I love, but for sure Real Techniques and Ecotools have some great brushes! I especially love this silicone tool from RT for gel liner.
Proof is in the pudding, you don’t need expensive brushes to do great makeup.
I love Real Techniques brushes and I’ma going to have to get that sculpting brush.
I do not need any more brushes lol. I’m loving my Canadian brand brushes here called Quo. It’s a professional brand of brushes (and also non-professional) from Shoppers Drug Mart. And it’s pretty awesome). But I still want the new RT and Ecotools brushes!! 🙂
Oooh if I ever hop over to Canada I will check them out 😀
I haven’t tried Essentials Tools brushes but RT and ET are great! My favourite budget brushes are the MUA ones. They’re just $2-$5 each for the whole range and they do an amazing job.
